PARENT VOLUNTEER HELP REMINDERS - OPENING & CLOSING GAMES
Parents! A reminder that while our Board will be out at the fields very early in the morning to get things going, our Region is going to need parent help on gamedays to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Your Coaches should make you aware of this, but if your team is the Saturday opener or if your team ends the day we'll need some help with the following:

OPENING GAME / EARLY MORNING
* Making sure all Goals have sandbags or are anchored
* Reviewing the pitch for Gopher holes. Filling holes with Sand. Buckets, Shovels will be available

CLOSING GAME / END OF DAY
* Taking Nets off the Goals
* Putting Goals back to their resting place
* Taking Sandbags back to the Goal Location
* Taking down Team EZ-ups

Thank you for the help everyone! It will be a mean a lot to our Volunteer staff.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PETS

Pets of any kind are NOT allowed on the field. While we love our pets, please make sure to keep them at home. If a pet is seen on the field our Board Members will ask you to escort the pet off. The only exception is if the pet is a service animal.

CLICK HERE FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PETS ON THE FIELD

EQUIPMENT - IMPORTANT REMINDERS!
Don't forget to have your player wear their AYSO 1463 Uniforms!

BE SURE TO REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:

SHIN GUARDS (REQUIRED & IMPORTANT), a Soccer Ball and their individually marked/named Water Bottle. Cleats are not required however they are strongly recommended.

Shin Guard Reminders:
Players must wear their Shin Guards UNDERNEATH their uniform socks. The uniform sock cannot be put on, then the shin guard, then the sock tucked over it. This is a safety concern. Please be sure that the Shin Guard touches the skin, then the uniform sock is placed over it. If needed, put on a thinner sock under the shin guard and then put on the uniform sock.

* Players without their shin guards will not be allowed to partake in games. There are no exceptions to this rule!

LOCATION REMINDER

Torrey Pines Park (Next to Warm Springs Middle School)

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please visit the link directly below for a moment, "Torrey Pines Park Information" to get yourself acquainted with where you'll need to go for gameday.

ARRIVE EARLY!
Also, be sure to arrive at the parking lot a good 30 minutes prior to your game time to give yourself enough of a chance to park, walk to the fields, find your team, warm-up and prepare for your match.

1463 NEWS - MARCH 29th

AYSO 1463 SPRING SEASON 2023 UPDATES!

PRACTICES FOR WED-FRI ARE CANCELED. SATURDAY GAMES ARE STILL A "GO!"

AYSO 1463 Families! The weather has been incredibly frustrating. Due to today's rain, we've made the decision to close the fields today through the end of Friday

We will do everything in our power to keep Saturday's games alive.

Our plan is to check the fields late Friday afternoon and see if they're both (A) safe for our children and (B) in decent shape in order to have Soccer games on. Please be aware that the fields belong to the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. In order to use the fields, our arrangement with MVUSD and the City of Murrieta is that AYSO 1463 maintains the fields and takes care of them so that they can continue to be used in the future.

If AYSO 1463 feels that the fields are in no shape for soccer on Saturday, we will be forced to cancel games (we no longer have any additional dates to move week #3's games. They would simply be canceled).

However, if AYSO 1463 feels that the fields are manageable, we will move forward with Saturday's games as scheduled.

Believe us. We want our kids out on the fields as bad as you, however the safety of our kids and the integrity of the field itself is paramount. Our plan is to communicate with all of you Friday evening at around 7pm with a final verdict. Fingers crossed.

IMPORTANT NOTE #1: Please see below regarding a new, rescheduled date for Week #2!

IMPORTANT NOTE #2: Friday Volunteers (Volunteer Points) -
Go ahead and head to the fields on Friday as scheduled. We're going to move forward with putting the fields together in case Saturday moves forward.

It also allows for each player to experience playing with a wide variety of teammates of different play skills.

Player Evaluation Event

IMPORTANT UPDATE! PLAYER EVALS ARE CANCELED (1/9/2023)
Everyone! Due to tonight and tomorrow's rain, we will unfortunately need to cancel our Player Evaluation event. There's also rain in the forecast for this coming weekend, an AYSO tournament many of us will be attending, and even more rain scheduled for early next week. The amount of rain in our forecast typically means the parks will remain closed for a good stretch of time.

In order to make sure we remain on schedule with Coach Finalization, Team Formation, Uniform Orders, and so much more we will not be able to reschedule this event.

For all of our returning 8U-12U Players, the good news is we received Player Evaluations from your Coaches at the end of the Fall season. This will definitely be helpful.

For all of our NEW players, we will be sending you a Google Form questionnaire in the near future. In it, we'll be asking you questions that should help our Registration team put our kids together based on several factors (ie. the number of seasons they've played, your honest assessments of their soccer skills, and more!). Parents, please be on the lookout for this questionaire. We should be sending it your way in the near future.

Thanks again, AYSO 1463 families. It's unfortunate that we need to cancel our first event of the Spring season but we'll be sure to make it up to you down the road.

Player Evaluation Event
IN-PERSON PLAYER EVALUATION EVENT INCOMING!
January 10th - 11th, 2023

PURPOSE OF THE PLAYER EVALUATIONS
"Balanced Teams" is one of AYSO's six core philosophies. In order to adhere to this important philosophy, our region forms new teams as evenly and balanced as possible. This provides a stronger learning experience for teams as they play teams comprised of similar ability. It also allows for each player to experience playing with a wide variety of teammates of different play skills.

The In-Person Player Evaluations helps provide our region with the information we need to properly place players on teams based on their level of experience, the skills they demonstrate on the field and more!

DIVISION & BIRTH YEAR REMINDERS!

HELP OUR REGION GROW BY PROVIDING A SHORT REVIEW ON GOOGLE!
AYSO 1463 Families. Our region's volunteers put in a tremendous amount of work to make all of this possible. Please keep in mind that every single volunteer, even the person writing this copy, is a full 100% volunteer of AYSO 1463. Not a single person gets paid. We do all of this for the love of AYSO, the love of our youth soccer players, our program, and our community.

All we would ask in return is to provide us two minutes of your time to tell us how we're doing.

If you'd like to do a little something to give back to our region, please write a short review for us on our Google page.
It would mean A LOT
and we promise it'll only take a minute.

FALL SEASON - IN-PERSON PLAYER EVALUATION EVENT INCOMING!

PURPOSE OF THE PLAYER EVALUATIONS:
"Balanced Teams" is one of AYSO's six core philosophies. In order to adhere to this important philosophy, our region forms new teams as evenly and balanced as possible. This provides a stronger learning experience for teams as they play teams comprised of similar ability. It also allows for each player to experience playing with a wide variety of teammates of different play skills.

The In-Person Player Evaluations helps provide our region with the information we need to properly place players on teams based on their level of experience, the skills they demonstrate on the field and more!

Fall Registration
FALL 2022 REGISTRATION INCOMING
SOFT LAUNCH OPENING FOR SPRING 2022 PLAYERS & COACHES NEXT WEEK!!! DON'T WAIT!

Fall 2022 Registration is opening very soon! We're aiming for a Soft Launch starting early next week.

We're only promoting our "Fall Registration Soft Launch" internally to all of our Spring Season families. We're doing this to give you the first chance to sign your children up before registration is opened to the public. It's also an opportunity for any and all returning Coaches and Volunteers to sign up.

Please be aware that spaces at AYSO 1463 are LIMITED and they DO RUN OUT. This happened to a few of our Fall 2021 Coaches who waited too long to sign up their kids for spring. Don't be left out as these Coaches were. Take this week to sign up your kids and volunteers as well and secure your spots.

Starting the first week of May we'll be opening Fall Registration up to the public so make sure to ACT AS SOON AS THE SOFT LAUNCH OPENS.

Thanks everyone.

PLAYER EVALUATIONS UPDATES - IMPORTANT UPDATES BELOW!
Thank you to those of our 8U - 14U players who attended our Player Evaluation event this week! It was amazing to watch your kids out there.

Our Registration Department team will now take the next week or two to tabulate all of the data received from our evaluators in order to figure out balanced Spring teams.

However, we did have many children who were unable to attend. We completely understand that sometimes life gets in the way, however we no longer have the resources to create a Player Eval make-up day.

PLAYER EVALS - QUESTIONNAIRE GOOGLE FORM
ONLY FILL THIS FORM OUT IF YOUR CHILD WAS NOT ABLE TO ATTEND THIS PAST WEEK

In the place of a make-up day, and to assist team creation, we've put together a very short Google Form questionnaire for those parents/children who were not able to attend. Please hit the link below and fill out this short questionnaire as soon as possible.

The Deadline to return this information is end of day Sunday, January 16th. It should only take you a couple of minutes so hit the link or the image below to get started.

Thanks everyone!

IN-PERSON PLAYER EVALUATION EVENT - THIS WEEK!
January 11th - 13th, 2022

PURPOSE OF THE PLAYER EVALUATIONS:
"Balanced Teams" is one of AYSO's six core philosophies. In order to adhere to this important philosophy, our region forms new teams as evenly and balanced as possible. This provides a stronger learning experience for teams as they play teams comprised of similar ability. It also allows for each player to experience playing with a wide variety of teammates of different play skills.

The In-Person Player Evaluations helps provide our region with the information we need to properly place players on teams based on their level of experience, the skills they demonstrate on the field and more!
