UPDATE ON DIGITAL PICTURES
We recently provided an FYI that families who ordered an add-on for a Digital Picture should have received them by now. We've received a few emails from parents who've stated they haven't received theirs. Please note that the Digital Picture was an "add-on" that incurred an additional cost. It was not included in the default picture packet.
However, if you feel you did pay for the additional digital image and have not received it, please contact our Picture Vendor at the link below. They will work with you directly. Thanks everyone.

UPDATE ON THE SPRING / SUMMER SEASON
Hello Region 1463. We hope everyone is safe, healthy and doing well. We’d like to thank you all for your continued patience during this trying time. Below you'll find various pieces of information regarding the Spring 2020 season. Feel free to read the information below. We've also provided you an update directly from our Regional Commissioner, Jaime Bencia in video form. Feel free to take a listen.

***IMPORTANT NOTE***
The Spring Season partial credit mentioned in the video (more info below) is one partial credit for use on one of the next three seasons (you can choose either Fall 2020, Spring 2021, Fall 2021). The video may imply that we are providing three seasons' worth of credits. This is not the case. It's only one partial credit that can be used in one of the upcoming seasons. Thank you!

CORE SPRING/SUMMER SEASON UPDATE
We’ve now received some guidance from our National Office and have discussed our options with our Area 1-R Regions. As a result of these conversations, our Executive Board met this past week and after a lengthy discussion, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel our Spring/Summer season. This decision is heartbreaking, and we can understand if some of you out there are disappointed, however two major factors have lead us down this path.
First, the safety of our children, our families, our volunteers and our Board Members is our highest priority. While there’s a chance our current situation may improve, we simply felt that there are far too many question marks regarding the Covid pandemic. These questions marks would leave many of us concerned about whether or not returning to our fields in June would be too soon. In these kinds of cases, we always need to error on the side of caution to make sure we keep our children and our community safe.
The second major concern is whether or not both the City of Murrieta and MVUSD will even open our Warm Springs fields in time for June. As of this moment, we cannot get any definitive answers and don’t expect to have one for weeks. We simply do not feel right about continuing to hold all of you in a waiting pattern as we have no clue how soon field usage rights and permits will resolve themselves.
**IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SPRING SELECT PROGRAM***
The Spring Select program, which consists of 4 Select Teams, is not affected by this update. As of this moment, our Area is hoping to put a shortened season together some time in the Summer for you. There are also tournaments in the late June/July timeframe that Select teams can take advantage of. Spring Select teams, please stay tuned for future information regarding your program.
SPRING SEASON 2020 CANCELLATION NEXT STEPS
Please note that all of AYSO’s Regions, including 1463, are non-profit. As a result, we are directed to spend our Registration funds on everything needed to make a season possible. For example, Registration funds are spent on Uniforms, Medals/Trophies, Pictures, City of Murrieta costs, Equipment Purchases, Equipment Maintenance and much, much more.
This is the main reason why youth sports leagues, especially the ones who are non-profit, always provide a final refund reimbursement cut-off date. Once that date expires, a vast majority of the Registration funds are spent on all of the assets and needs for that particular season.
Only a very small amount of funds are left over to carry the region through the season until we reach the next season when the entire process begins anew. This has made things incredibly difficult for our Region as the Spring funds have been spent for the Spring Season before the Covid situation began. Many of these expenses are non-refundable, meaning our Region cannot recoup these costs.
CREDIT FOR THE SEASON (PARTIAL)
However, our Board, working with our National Office, has come up with a solution.
Partial Credit for a Future Season at AYSO 1463
We will make available a one-time, single use Spring Season partial credit for use on one of the following upcoming seasons:
· Fall 2020 Season
· Spring 2021 Season
· Fall 2021 Season
Updated 4/29: This credit will be emailed to you as a Partial Credit coupon by the National AYSO office sometime in late May or June and will carry an expiration date of June 30, 2021. Please note, that if you paid the $20.00 National Fee for the Spring 2020 season, this fee will carry over to your coupon credit as well. You will not have to repay the National Fee. No further action is needed on your part.
However, we will need to adjust the credit based on the expenses we’ve accrued for Spring which cannot be recouped. This is the only way we can provide you a credit and still keep our Region operational.
$40 will be subtracted from the credit amount. This accounts for player Uniforms, Medals, as well as Pictures. Please note that we will be working with each of you to provide you medals and pictures at a later time. We cannot take uniforms back, nor can we return medals or pictures. However, these items are all yours and we will be sure to get them to you.
Our National Office is in the process of working on a system to help automate the credit process and it won’t be ready until then. Once this service is complete, we will make sure to let you know when the partial credit coupons will be emailed to you.
DONATION TO AYSO
Another option would be if your family would be willing to donate your Spring Season fees to the Region. This option would be incredibly appreciated and would help our Region recover and rebuild for the Fall 2020 Season. If you’re willing to help, we will provide an option to donate your funds at the end of May as well.
FALL SEASON 2020 REGISTRATION
For those of you that are curious about the Fall Season Registration timeframe, we cannot open registration until AYSO National emails you the partial credit coupons. Currently, we’re aiming for late May/early June but will keep you posted if anything changes.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!
Thank you again for your patience and understanding in the last few months everyone. We know all of you would love to be out on the field. On our end, our Region had so many new initiatives that we were chomping at the bit to get out there with you.
However, this time away will give us ample time to prepare for an incredible Fall Season. We’ll do our best to keep you posted on Fall’s progress.
In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to email us at: [email protected]. We will do our best to get back to you with as much information as possible.
