BUT, most importantly, on the profile page, please select the team(s) that you are affiliated to, so your referee points can be correctly applied to the team(s) your kid(s) are playing on.

REFEREE ASSIGNMENTS / SCHEDULE
Referee Scheduler:
Jim Simpson -- [email protected]

Here are some logistics on how the schedule will be shared for you to volunteer.

Please follow all guidelines listed in the bullet points below as you sign up for games.

I will monitor the sheet throughout the week to ensure fairness so everyone has an opportunity to get their volunteer points for their teams, and on Wednesday night, I will send another email reminder that we have moved to the open phase of signups.

Depending on coverage, I may send out additional emails asking for help on Friday for any urgent needs as we approach the weekend.  I will try to keep the emails shorter each week than this first one that is more informational, but I will include the bullet points for you to follow each week.

Thank you in advance for your patience and for all of your help as volunteers.

REFEREE SCHEDULING GUIDELINES
Please adhere to the following guidelines from Sunday through Wednesday night:

  • Volunteer Points Related: Center Referee will earn 2 points per game. Assistant Referee will earn 1 volunteer point per game (10U-19U Divisions)

19U Divisions Only

Note: May NOT be the Coach, Assistant Coach, parent, or relative of a player on either team

Assistant Referee:
May be a Regional Referee or above
May NOT be the rostered coach or assistant coach of the team, but can be a parent or relative of a player on a team (as a courtesy, the opposing coach should be notified prior to the match but they do not have the right of approval of the Assistant Referee)

16U Division Only

Referee: Must be an Advanced Candidate or higher to serve as a Referee.
Note: The Advanced Candidate is an Intermediate Referee who has completed the full Advanced Referee course.

Additional Note: May NOT be the Coach, Assistant Coach, parent, or relative of a player on either team

Assistant Referee: May be a Regional Referee or above
May NOT be the rostered coach or assistant coach of the team, but can be a parent or relative of a player on a team (as a courtesy, the opposing coach should be notified prior to the match but they do not have the right of approval of the Assistant Referee)

14U Division Only

Referee: Must be an Intermediate Referee or higher to serve as a Referee.
Note: May NOT be the Coach, Assistant Coach, parent, or relative of a player on either team

Assistant Referee: May be a Regional Referee or above
May NOT be the rostered coach or assistant coach of the team, but can be a parent or relative of a player on a team (as a courtesy, the opposing coach should be notified prior to the match but they do not have the right of approval of the Assistant Referee)

Other Notes
  • Please try whenever possible to work with the Head Coach of your team(s) to sign up for games as a Ref Crew of 3 (Center + 2 AR), please avoid signing up for a single slot as this makes it more difficult for a team Ref Crew to sign up for a match
  •  Until Thursday, please only sign up for 1 game to allow volunteers from other teams the chance to sign up and earn volunteer points (exception to this rule is if you have two children on different teams and you are part of 2 different Ref Crews)
  •  Remember that you cannot referee games in the same division as your child's team (ie. your child plays on a 12U Boys team, you cannot referee another 12U Boys match).  Any exception to this rule must be approved by Ref Admin and RC for emergency coverage.
