AYSO National Pet Policy

Rivertowns Soccer Fields Pet Policy

Pets are not allowed at Rivertowns AYSO and Rivertowns United FC soccer activities on the fields that our organization uses.

Our organization uses school and village fields. We are guests of the schools and villages when we use their fields, and we must abide by their policies. The schools do not allow pets on their fields. While the villages may allow leashed pets at their parks, pets are not allowed at village fields during practices and games.

If participants in our programs bring pets, it could lead to the revoking of our permits. We do not want to jeopardize our use of school or village fields, because without the use of the fields, we could not hold our programs.

Additionally, there are potential safety issues. Incidents are rare, but they do occur. After such incidents, there is often reckoning with the fact that policies were not followed. For the safety our players. coaches, volunteers, and families, please do not bring your pets to Rivertowns fields during any soccer activities.

SERVICE ANIMALS ARE WELCOME

Rivertowns AYSO and Rivertowns United FC observe and respect regulations and laws regarding service animals. Service animals are allowed at our fields. Service animals are defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as only dogs or miniature horses that have been trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Other animals, whether wild or domestic, do not qualify as service animals.
