Welcome to Rivertowns AYSO, Region 324, New York!

Thank you for your interest in our recreational soccer program -- the foundation for all the fun, excitement, and learning that happens on the fields! It is where kids fall in love with soccer and make memories that last a lifetime. Please read everything so you are fully informed before you sign up.

Rivertowns AYSO recreational soccer is a weekend program that includes age-appropriate and engaging soccer activities for players from preschool through high school. In addition to devoted parent volunteers, a highlight of our program is that NYCFC Coaches provide professional training and a world-class soccer curriculum at all age levels -- complementing the efforts of the parent coaches.

Our recreational program runs for 2 seasons -- fall and spring. If you are registering for just spring, the price has been prorated.

Spring season is a continuation of the fall/spring program - there are limited openings. If there is no opening in your age group, we encourage you to register for the waitlist.

A parent or guardian must be present for each child's session. . The fields are not adjacent. Do not sign up siblings at the same session time unless a parent or guardian can be present for each.

VOLUNTEERING TO COACH:

We welcome you to register as a coach when you register your player! Training is provided - free, convenient, online!

For PreK, K, 1st grade, 2nd grade, parent coaches support the NYCFC Coaches who run the sessions.

For 3/4th, 5/6th, 7/8th, and HS, parent coaches lead the teams. Current teams welcome new coaches!

PROGRAM COSTS - for Spring 2026 season!

$200 -- Spring 2026 Rivertowns AYSO program fee (as season progresses, you will see the prorated price below)

+ $25 -- AYSO National Player Fee (non-refundable)

+ $3.50 -- transaction fee (non-refundable)

+ $45 -- Rivertowns AYSO uniform fee (non-refundable / purchased for NEW players after registering)

Returning players can continue to wear their uniforms from prior years if they fit.

PROGRAM DATES:

Spring 2026 Opening Weekend -- Saturday, April 11 / Sunday, April 12

End dates vary by age group. No soccer on holiday weekends.

UNIFORMS:

You order the uniform directly from the vendor after you register (if you don't have a Rivertowns AYSO uniform from a prior year).

The link to order and info about uniforms will be in your registration confirmation email.

REQUIRED GEAR (purchase it, if you don't have it already)

>> Soccer ball (you have to bring it each week))

Size 3 ball - PreK, K, 1st grade, 2nd grade

Size 4 ball - 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th grades

Size 5 ball - 7th, 8th, high school grades

>> Shin guards (required for ALL ages -- player safety)

>> Cleats (optional - but recommended esp. for players 3rd grade and older)

SUNDAY GAME SCHEDULE / LOCATIONS

3/4/5/6/7/8th grade and high school teams play in a league against other Westchester AYSO teams. They practice Saturdays and have games Sundays. The league finalizes the game schedule about a week before opening weekend. When the schedule goes live, team coaches communicate their game schedules or you can log in to see it on Team Central.

RESPECT OUR FIELDS: We are grateful to the villages and schools for the use of their fields and facilities. We are guests. We ask that all players and parents treat the equipment, fields, and grounds with respect. No dogs except service dogs, per the policies of the villages and schools.

RAINOUTS/WEATHER CANCELLATIONS: Our fields are outdoors; in most seasons, there are cancellations due to rainouts or wet field conditions. Read this to know what to expect: https://ayso.bluesombrero.com/Default.aspx?tabid=917572

REGISTERING FOR THE WAITLIST: When a session is full, register for the waitlist in the system. If a spot opens up, we contact you. You are not obliged to take the spot, but if you do want it, you have to log back in and pay within 48 hours. We will send a status update to waitlist families about a week before opening weekend. Signing up for the waitlist is just like registering for a class but without payment. You will get an email confirmation if you do it correctly.

WORKAROUND IF THE SYSTEM DOES NOT SHOW YOUR CHILD'S CORRECT SCHOOL GRADE:

In Rivertowns AYSO, sessions and teams are by school grade, but the AYSO registration system forces players into groups by birth year. We can't change that setting.

Workaround - Enter a birth year that allows you to register for your child's school grade.
