Our region, Rivertowns AYSO (Region 324 New York), is part of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), the largest youth soccer organization in the United States, with over 600,000 participating children and over 250,000 volunteer coaches, referees and administrators. AYSO is a nationwide non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment, relying on both our NYCFC Youth Partner coaches as well as parent volunteers to deliver the program.
Organizationally, Rivertowns AYSO belongs to Area 3T which comprises our region and other Westchester AYSO regions.
Rivertowns AYSO includes Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Hartsdale, Hastings-on-Hudson, and Irvington, and surrounding communities, supporting close to 1000 players. Our programs follow the school year and are comprised of a fall soccer season (mid-September through mid-November) and a spring soccer season (mid-April through mid-June). As a community soccer organization, we actively solicit parents at registration to volunteer to coach, referee and assist with the administration of our programs.
One of the hallmarks of AYSO soccer is the amazing parent volunteers that make the program possible. Besides the volunteer energy, enthusiasm, and dedication, our program is enhanced by our partnership with NYCFC Youth Programs. NYCFC Youth Programs provides quality professional youth coaches and age-appropriate curriculum that dovetails with the AYSO approach to recreational youth soccer.
