The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to develop and deliver quality youth soccer programs which promote a fun, family environment. AYSO was formed in 1964 and the organization currently serves over 625,000 players nationwide. AYSO is a nationwide organization, but programs are managed and operated on a local basis, by local volunteers. Our local region (Region 325) covers Loudon County.
Although AYSO is primarily a youth sports organization, it realizes the importance of providing a safe and healthy atmosphere for children. AYSO is continually working to improve the education of its volunteers in the fields of child development, human behavior, and sports psychology. A strong emphasis is placed on ethics and sportsmanship and the development of the whole child.
AYSO focuses on "what's good for kids" as its basis. Every girl and boy stepping on a soccer field for the first time can have fun. AYSO's child-first approach also makes it one of the finest player development programs. Everybody likes to win, but developing successful players and people is what's fundamental in AYSO.
AYSO is a 501c-3 national organization. Our local organization is called Region 325 and includes all of Loudon County. Our region is part of Section 5G which consists of the counties to the west and south of Knox County.
