Notice of Opening of Regional Commissioner Nominations and Election

Our Regional Commissioner, Lauren Colahan, decided to step down from her position as RC last weekend to focus on her family.  We appreciate her endless energy, and countless hours that she has devoted to our Region during the last year and a half, and wish her well.   

The Board Members of Region 69 Pacific Palisades/Brentwood have formed a Nomination Committee (consisting of the Area Director/Interim Regional Commissioner, Ken Kotarski, and the Regional CVPA, Debbie Held) to open, and accept, nominations for the executive member position of Regional Commissioner.

Nominations are open for the next 30 days, through December 17, 2024. The date of the selection/election meeting will be Tuesday, January 14, 8pm in conjunction with the Board Meeting on that date.   The selected nomination is then approved by the Area Director and Section Director,  then sent to the NBOD for final approval by a vote on January 25.  

All nominations, including those from interested candidates, must be submitted to the Interim Regional Commissioner, Ken Kotarski, at  [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>, by no later than December 17, 2024. During this transition period,  the Area P Director, Ken Kotarski, is the acting RC.   

On Tuesday, January 14, the R69 Executive Board *  will vote (secret ballot) on the nominee, or nominees for the RC position.     The selected nomination is then approved by the Area Director and Section Director,  then sent to the NBOD for final approval by a vote on January 25.
