2022/2023 WINTER ALL-STAR TOURNAMENTS
The winter all star season consists of tournaments throughout Area Q starting in late December and continuing on until mid-February. Teams are formed in mid-November with practices starting in early December. Each weekend will have a tournament consisting of 3 matches minimum and 2-3 refereeing assignments per team.
Each All-Star team is responsible for providing three (3) qualified referees (one center and two assistant referees). Parents or other adults associated with a player must referee during the regular fall season to gain experience to become the referee our players deserve. All referees are required to have Regional Referee Administrator approval to participate.
Beginning in 2020/2021, each 12U team will be required to provide an Intermediate Ref as part of their crew. 14U teams will need have three (3) Intermediate Refs. 10U teams will still require Regional Referees for their crews. All referees must cover a minimum of ten (10) regular season games and are subject to approval by the RRA.
Winter All Stars is a fast-paced season, where the players get a significant amount of playing time in a short time-frame.

*Adobe Cup Nipomo 1/28 – 1/29
Surf n Turf San Luis Obispo 2/3 – 2/5
**Area Q AS Playoffs Nipomo 2/11 – 2/12
**Section 10 AS Championship Bakersfield 3/4 – 3/5
*Teams will participate in at least 3 and no more than 4 of the first 5 tournaments. All teams must participate in the 599 Surf ‘n Turf. Each Head Coach will decide which tournaments their team will attend.
* Teams may be invited by the Area Q Board to the Area Q Playoffs and Section 10 Playoffs; team participation in these playoffs is not guaranteed. Teams invited must model the AYSO philosophies of Good Sportsmanship, Positive Coaching, Player Development, and Everyone Plays. Parents of players on All Star Teams are expected to adhere to AYSO Kids Zone standards. Teams are expected to follow Area Q policies.
City Fields (except Damon Garcia) are CLOSED December - February for Maintenance.
