The All Star program is a joint effort of all 10U-14U divisions within Region 599. Players are selected based on skill, sportsmanship and coach recommendations. Teams compete within AYSO Section 10/Area Q in Central California and potentially throughout the State.
The program provides an extended, high competition soccer season for those who do not have a conflicting commitment. A player selected for this program has demonstrated skill and aptitude for the sport, a positive and coachable attitude, and good sportsmanship. Players will be provided the opportunity to increase skills and are expected to continue demonstrating good sportsmanship, leadership and team commitment.
Player Assessment Day
There will be no player assessment day. Coaches will scout players during their regular season games.
599 All Star Season Expectations
Player Selection
Rostered players selected will be expected to commit to the entire All-Star season. Players who are unable to commit to play in every All-Star season tournament may be excluded from the selection process. Players with other commitments may be selected as reserve players. Reserve players will only be eligible to participate in tournaments if there is room on the roster and that reserve player is available.
Team Formation
Divisions that have more than one team will be formed on the basis of birth year, with an 'upper' and 'lower' age group, ie B15 and B16 in 10U. Divisions that have a single team will be mixed age groups. Should there be a third team in a division, that team will be mixed age group. Exceptional players in the lower age group may play up to the older age group, should there be consensus between the two coaches in that division and the ASC.
Cost
Rostered Players: $375 per player plus approximately $50 for a uniform kit. Optional warm-ups and gear will be available for purchase.
Guest Players: $65 per tournament
