Mon.: 10/10 - Deadline to Submit All Star Coach Application
Fri.: 10/14 - All Star Coaches Conditionally Selected
Coach applications will be reviewed by the All-Star Coach Selection committee, consisting of the Regional Commissioner, Regional Coach Administrator and All-Star Coordinator. Coaches will be selected based on their volunteer contributions to the region, implementation of positive coaching principles and history of running successful teams.
Over the next few weeks conditionally accepted All-Star coaches will prepare their All-Star team. To complete the requirements to Head Coach in the All Star program, Head Coaches must identify their Assistant Coach, referee team, and their roster of eligible players. The All Star Coordinator will provide each Head Coach with a list of current 599 Referees and possible AS Players who have indicted interest.
Conditionally selected AS Head Coaches are expected to observe players throughout regular season play as referees, at the All-Star player assessment day and during the End of Season tournament.
By November 4 the Head Coach must identify in an e-mail to the ASC your Assistant Coach and referee team which will include 1 experienced Center Referee and 2 Assistant Referees.
Teams may not pool referees. Crews are required to be exclusive to each team.
2022 Area 10/Q Post Season Referee Plan: Area 10/Q All Star teams will qualify for Post Season play based on referee representation.
It is required that all referees officiate at least ten (10) games during the Fall Core season in their home Region. All of the referees representing a 14U team will be certified as an Intermediate Referee and will be present at all tournaments. For 12U teams, at least one of the referees will be certified as an Intermediate or higher. Assistant referees for 12U and all referees representing 10U teams must be certified as Regional or Higher. Each National, Advanced, and Intermediate Referee can represent one team only.
A Post Season referee team will consist of three referees at a minimum. One of the three must be competent as the Center Referee for every match assigned (three Assistant Referees do not make a complete team). Head Coaches may referee games but cannot be the primary Center Referee or one of the two primary Assistant Referees. For Area Q and Section 10 Playoffs Head Coaches may not officiate any game.
