All coaches must pass a background check, California LiveScan, as well as do many Youth Safety trainings.  They are also trained on their specific age group and the laws of the game for these age groups.  We strive for all of our coaches to emulate the 6 core philosophies of AYSO: Everyone Players, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development.  

When we have multiple coaches for a division with limited openings, the coaches are chosen based on

• Previous Experience
• Their demonstration of the six philosophies
• Ref records (ie red cards/yellow cards) and parent complaints
  

The final decision will be made by the executive board and letters will be sent out to all those who volunteered.
