Player Eligibility

1. Players must be registered players for the upcoming Chino Hills Region 779 AYSO Fall season.
   
   
2. Players must participate in a scheduled evaluation session.
   
   
3. EXTRA Players may not participate in a soccer program that is not affiliated with AYSO.
   
   
4. Players will be selected to play for the AYSO EXTRA team as stated in the criteria above.
   
   
5. A player that misses 4 or more games may become ineligible and may be removed from the EXTRA team.
   
   
6. Players not from Chino Hills Region 779 may try out in the Spring Tryout

Player Selection

1. All players must participate in an AYSO EXTRA Player evaluation session. The AYSO EXTRA Coordinator and the EXTRA Coach will be present for the EXTRA player evaluation session. The Player evaluation session will consist of Intermediate and Advanced coach evaluations.
   
   
2. Players will then be ranked according to the results of the session and the team will be passed on to the EXTRA Coaches for selection. Once a player is placed on an EXTRA team, that player is not eligible to play for a regular Fall team and will not be eligible to play for a Spring Select or Spring All-star team.
   
   
3. Teams will be formed no more than 10 days after the tryout.
   
   
4. Teams will be formed for the U10, U11, U12, U13 & U14 divisions only. (this is dependent of coaches and other factors)
   
   
5.  Players will not be permitted to “play up”. Playing up is defined as a U10 player participating on a U12 team. This applies across all divisions. A U11 players may only play on a U12 team provided there is not a U11 team in place. This also applies across all divisions.
   
   
6. Players will be required to play 50% minimum of all games.
   
   
7. Players who are not selected will of course have the option of participating in the AYSO core program and will be encouraged to do so. The core program will still provide post season play opportunities with all-star and tournament teams. Parents are encouraged to remain positive with their kids, even if they don’t get selected for EXTRA.
   

Club Players

Your child may be selected with the expectation that he or she will NOT participate in a Club program while playing in the Extra Fall season, because the two programs require such high levels of commitment that a player on both a Club and an Extra team probably cannot satisfy his or her obligations to both teams. A player who joins a Club after being selected to participate on an Extra team should expect to lose his or her place on the Extra team.
