Hi Capay Valley AYSO Families,

As we head into the season, I wanted to share a quick reminder of the core philosophies that make AYSO such a unique and valuable program for our kids. These six principles guide everything we do and help create a positive, inclusive environment for all players and families:

Every player is guaranteed to play at least half of every game. The focus is on participation and fun, not just competition.

Teams are formed to ensure fair and evenly matched play across the board, giving every player a chance to grow.

⚽ Open Registration

AYSO welcomes all players, regardless of skill level or experience—no tryouts, no cuts.

⚽ Positive Coaching

We emphasize encouragement, player development, and good sportsmanship. Coaches are trained to build confidence and character.

⚽ Good Sportsmanship

We expect respectful behavior from players, coaches, and spectators alike. Kindness and fairness come first.

⚽ Player Development

Every child is supported in growing their skills, understanding the game, and developing a lifelong love for soccer.
