Safety Requirements for Fall 2020

Parents,

We are excited to finally bring AYSO soccer back to Menifee!  Due to Covid 19, the City of Menifee has placed very strict guidelines on sports activities that we need to adhere to in order to keep our park permits.  Below are some reminders of how we must conduct our activities.  If you have any questions, please feel free to email [email protected].

• Coaches, Assistant Coaches, etc., must wear masks at all times when working with their team.

• Masks are recommended for players before and after activities, but players do not need to wear them during practices or skills-training sessions on Saturdays.

• Scrimmages are not allowed at this time.  Any Coach who allows their players to scrimmage will be removed from the team. 

• Players must be 6 feet apart at all times.

• Parents must be 30 feet away from team activities and be socially distancing.

• Coaches and players should have their temperature checked before each activity.

• Parents should make sure their child is well before leaving the house.  Players must not attend an activity if they are sick.

• Players are to bring their own equipment (ball, water bottle, etc.) clearly labeled with their name, and there should be no sharing between players.

Protocol in case a Coach, Assistant Coach, or player tests positive for Covid 19-

• Email [email protected] to report a positive Covid test.

• All parents of the team must be notified that someone on the team has tested positive for Covid 19, while keeping the name of the person confidential. 

• The entire team must suspend all activities for 2 weeks.

Just a few updates for Fall Soccer

AYSO Menifee will be lowering the price of our Fall Skills-Training program to $120 per player (6U-16U).  Our original prices were set in the expectations of a normal soccer season, and we will be refunding to parents the amount paid in excess of $120.  This will take some time for our Volunteers to process, so please allow 3-4 weeks to receive your refund.  In the meantime, it would be a good idea to verify that the mailing address in your Sports Connect account is correct.

Coaches are picking up their rosters now, and you should hear from a Coach by the middle of next week.  We are using only the Hidden Hills Park location for our Skills-Training Sessions on Saturdays, and our first session will be October 10th.  The schedule will be released by next week.

If you have not picked up your uniform yet, we have one more pickup event scheduled on Tuesday, October 6th from 6:00-7:00 at Hidden Hills Park.  It is mandatory that every parent comes in person to pick up their player’s uniform so we can ensure that everyone has signed a Covid-19 waiver.
