AYSO's Safe Haven

This free online course is required for all AYSO Volunteers. The Volunteer Protection Act of 1997 provides certain legal protections for volunteers who have been trained and certified and act in accordance with a written job description. Safe Haven includes these three elements, giving volunteers the highest degree of protection available under the law.

Length: appx 2 hrs

CDC: Concussion

This free online course is required for all volunteers that interact with our players on the field such as Coaches & Referees and recommended for all other volunteers.

Length: appx 1 hr

If AYSOU is experiencing problems with the CDC Concussion course, you may also take it at the CDC website (see below).
You will have to create a user account, take the course and save the certificate at the end of the course and email it to:

AYSO's Summary of the Laws of the Game

This free online module presents a summary of the "Laws of the Game" and is required for all Intermediate/14U & Advanced Coaches. Alternatively, you could sign up for the Regional Referee course which will give you a greater appreciation for how your fellow Referee volunteers approach the game to keep it safe and fun for our players. Either course will satisfy the requirement.
