Volunteer with AYSO Region 716

AYSO Region 716 is 100 percent volunteer-powered. Our program depends on parents, guardians, and community members working together as coaches, referees, team parents, and board volunteers to create a positive and supportive soccer experience for every child.

Why Volunteer

Volunteering with AYSO gives families the opportunity to play an active role in their child’s soccer experience while supporting the broader community. No prior soccer experience is required. AYSO provides training, resources, and ongoing support to help volunteers succeed. Volunteering is rewarding, enjoyable, and a meaningful way to stay involved.

Volunteer Roles

Coaches and Assistant Coaches
Lead team practices and games, typically one to four hours per week depending on division. Training, practice plans, and guidance are provided. No soccer background is required, only a willingness to support and encourage players.

Referees
Help ensure games are safe, fair, and fun for all participants. Referee schedules are flexible, and volunteers may officiate their own child’s games or others. Free referee training and certification are provided.

Team Parents
Support team communication, scheduling, snacks, and photos. Team parents help keep families informed and assist coaches throughout the season.

Board and Administrative Volunteers
Assist with registration, scheduling, uniforms, events, and general administration. These roles are ideal for volunteers who prefer to contribute behind the scenes.
