POST SEASON INVITATIONALS (outside R73)

Do not wait until end of the season to verify if requirements are being met or not.
Contact Julio Velez for questions: [email protected].

= Out-Of-Region-Play-request from your team with ID and Coach name submit not later than 24 September
= Include a list of all adult volunteer (admins) names and their roles/positions working for the team.
= Volunteers not change allegiance to teams after game day 6 in region 73 season unless board approves.
= OORP-request asks approval to play tournaments and requires monitoring and evaluation during season.
= Tournament Applications must not affect region 73 season play schedules in any way. The region must approve.

A team is eligible for OORP when they meet 4 things:
1. The team is in good standing with region 73. Show respect for volunteers and AYSO soccer program
2. Fulfill all the requirements + Observations by staff members of all team members including the parents.
3. Team adult volunteers which are fully trained and certified* Competence requires minimum 60% game experience.
4. Child development and fun promoted over "win at all cost."

It is a plus for teams which promote volunteering as AYSO cannot continue without sufficient volunteers.
Region-73 supports a team which can make a good impression at all invitational tournaments.

Below is an example but not a limited check list when board members monitor and evaluate a team:

PARENTS:
- Cheering for players and show respect for volunteers and the game.
- Promote and help to create a safe environment for all players and respectful for volunteers.

COACHES:
- One head coach and one assistant coach for the team and working at least 60% of training / game sessions.
- Both coaches must be fully trained and certified
*

REFEREES:
- Two adult referees which work regularly during the season and earn referee points.
- Promote neutral officiating of all games when and follow AYSO regional and national rules.
- Each referees must work at least 7 - 9 games in the season and show competence officiating games.
- All referees must be fully job trained and certified*

MANAGERS:
- Assist the coach in distributing information to parents without delay and ensure that they read and understand.
- Contact parents each week and listen to concerns, ensure players bring all necessary gear, water & snacks.
- Have AYSO line up cards ready 20 min before game time and hand these to coach and/or Referee
- Call team referees each week to thank them for their work and remind them to sign up for the next games.

Certification requires competence in the job and completing all Safety courses.

PAYMENTS:

ALL payment paid directly to AYSO region73 treasurer. No person will handle money on behalf of others.
= Team sponsors first support R73 Fall core program. The money is used for region core program expenses only.
= Core program funds are not transferable to other programs.
= Tournament funds are handled separate from other programs. Sponsor money is gift and will not receive any refund.

REGION Check for tournament, when: (1) team is OORP approved (2) Fee contributions received by R73 treasurer with tournament name, player name, amount and payer contact info (must match Sports Connect account)

Important: The board will monitor, evaluate and recommend team illegibility for OORP.
The decision is final after the board has completed the evaluation in the last weeks of the season.
