Range Strikers Volunteer Positions

Board Positions -2024-

Regional Commissioner (RC) partners with an Assistant Commissioner, they Lead the Region and its Regional Board. They consider the needs of their community in providing a vibrant, growing Region ensuring as many players as possible get the AYSO experience. Their role includes overseeing strategy, finances, volunteer recruitment, scheduling, policies and procedures, growth and most of all, making soccer fun for the players.

Coach Administrator - Oversees the coach pool, including recruiting, assigning teams, and overseeing certifications.

Referee Administrator - Oversees the referee pool, including recruiting, overseeing certifications, and scheduling them to games.

Treasurer - Handles the financial activity of the Region, and its paperwork, including registration collection and recording, savings, paying bills and deposits.

Registrar and Assistant Registrar partner to plans and carry out the annual registration of all players including choosing sign-up locations, coordinating on-site and gathering applications and fees.

Safety Director - Applies safety requirements and oversees maintenance to all soccer equipment, nets, fields and facilities.

Child Volunteer Protection Advocate - Plans and implements the annual registration of all Region volunteers. They follow the guidelines of the Safe Haven program including gathering applications for volunteer positions, screening applicants and upholding state laws that protect children.

Key Coordinating Positions:

Game/Practice Schedule Coordinator - oversees scheduling of the region's practices and games.

Tournament Coordinator (10U, 12U, 14U only) - work with the regional commissioner and the regional board to organize and participate in tournaments and other post season play opportunities for players outside the primary regular season program.

Uniform & Apparel Coordinator(s) - Completes an inventory on jerseys, organizes the jerseys, coordinates drop off and pick up and payment of jerseys at the laundromat, requests orders as needed, additionally, beginning 2023 this position will encompass a responsibility to providing a platform and/or events for families to buy/trade/sell/swap previously loved soccer apparel (Jerseys, Socks, Coach Shirts, etc.).

Concession Stand Coordinators - The coordinators help plan upcoming season concession stand operations, supplies, inventory, train volunteers, keep the concession stand clean, and maintain the volunteer list.

Field Coordinator - The AYSO Volunteer position of field coordinator is intended to be responsible for acquisition and maintenance of all playing fields including practice fields.

Picture Day Coordinator - The AYSO volunteer position of picture day coordinator is intended to work as a liaison between the regional board and the vendor contracted to provide pictures for regional teams and players.
