3 November 2018:  Make-Up Game

Saturday, 10 November 2018, brought the end to the U12 great fall soccer season! Thank you to those U12 coaches who helped make this a great soccer season for these players; over the last nine weeks these players perfected their soccer skills and greatly improved on the skills learned this season. This make-up game was so intense and very exciting. Once again, a big thank you goes out to the parents and players who rounded out this great fall soccer season; their growth was remarkable. AYSO Region 1225 Board is looking forward to Spring 2019 soccer season; registration will begin January 2019.

Dominators – Coach William

All the players did a great job at working together and communicating on the field, to score goals and to stop the other team from scoring. The defense was great, Aitan did a great job when there was no one back to stop the other team, he would run back and try his hardest to stop them. Zander had some great assists on the field; again, there was excellent communication and talking on the field. Nine goals were scored, for the Dominators, by William Jr., Aitan, Zander, and Hayden. Thank you, Dominators!!

Knights – Coach Eric

Jurelle, Gavyn, and Danielle played their last game with good intensity and effort. Gavin, Danielle, and Jurelle all scored goals, for the Knights. We had a great season, and everyone improved their soccer skills and experience. Thank you, Knights!

Saturday, 3 November 2018, brought the end to our great fall soccer season! Thank you to all the volunteers who made this great soccer season possible; a big thank you goes out to the parents and players who rounded out this great fall soccer season; their growth was remarkable. 27 October 2018

Saturday, 27 October 2018, was our “End of Season” barbeque, to thank all our volunteers, parents, and the players.  Region 1225 wouldn’t have a soccer season if it wasn’t for our fabulous volunteers, the parents, and of course our tremendous players! How much the players grown over the season, with their skills and with their self-esteem. We are extremely proud of their growth! Thank you, again, to all family and friends who come out on a weekly basis to cheer on all the players. We appreciate your continual support.

Tigers – Coach Carlos

Both teams played great! The Tigers were short one player and the Dragons gave us a player to make the teams 4 vs 4. Everyone has improved! Aryana, Chloe, and Preston played well. Great passing and teamwork.

Dragons – Coach Rodger

Once again, a very exciting game! It is so nice to see all the kid’s soccer skills improving. Korbyn, Henry, Christian, and Eliza all scored goals. Great game, Dragons!

Wolves – Coach Wanda

Good game, Wolves. Austin and Brayden were both great at goal keeping; Enzo, Maddie, and Adrian played well at forward, while Jayla played great at forward and defense. Adrian scored three goals and Maddie scored a goal for the Wolves.

Green Cheetahs – Coach William

The Green Cheetahs really tried their best at this game! The players had good communication and good passing. Aliyssia tried her best to score some goals, she never gave up. Shane, Blake, and Michael did a good job at goal keeping. Julius scored three goals for the Green Cheetahs.

Dominators – Coach William

The Dominators played well! There was great passing, great teamwork, and communication. William played well at goal keeping. No goals were scored today, but the Dominators played well.

Knights – Coach Eric

Gavyn, Jurelle, and Evan scored goals for the Knights. Adriana played strong defense. The team worked well together and applied a bit of what we practiced. Both teams worked hard and played a good game.

AYSO Region 1225 – Game News

20 October 2018

Saturday, 20 October 2018, was a marvelous day to play soccer! Not only were family and friends eager to sit under the warm sun and watch soccer games, but the soccer players were eager to play soccer. Over the last few weeks, these players have not only learned but have put into practice the all the many skills they have learned. Saturday was that perfect mid fall day to once again show off those skills. These soccer players have even learned that not every game will be won, to accept the loss with honor, and to accept the win with grace.  Without the help and sound advice from the coaches and assistant coaches, and volunteering their time, these soccer players would not have had this opportunity to play AYSO soccer. Thank you, coaches and assistant coaches! Thank you, parents! Next Saturday, we’ll be thanking the volunteers, parents, and players with an end of the season barbeque. Thank you, again, to all family and friends who come out on a weekly basis to cheer on all the players. We appreciate your continual support.

Skyler was aggressive, played great defense, and tried his best to ensure the other team did not score many goals. assured the other team did not score too many goals. Go Tigers!

Dragons – Coach Rodger

Entertaining match between the Dragons and Tigers. Great passes, shots, and defense throughout the whole game. Five goals were scored for the Dragons by Korbyn and Henry. Good job, kids!

Wolves – Coach Wanda

What a close game! Great offense Enzo, Russell, and Maddie. Some exceptional goal keeping by Adrian and Austin. Way to play defense, Zjayla. Five goals were scored for the Wolves by Russell, Enzo, Adrian, and Maddie.

Green Cheetahs – Coach William

Good job on the field today. Great passing and team work. Michael, Shane, and Mateo did a good job being goal keepers. Three goals were scored for the Green Cheetahs by Julius and Alyssia.

Dominators – Coach William

A lot of effort on the field, today. Good passing, good goal keeping. Zander did a good job passing and helping the other players. Zander scored two goals for the Dominators.

Knights – Coach Eric

An amazing game today. Very well rounded. The kids took everything they had been taught this past week and applied it today. Fourteen goals were scored for the Knights by Gavyn, Evan, Danielle, Jurele, and Josh. Great job, Knights!

Saturday13 October 2018 was the warm before the storm, especially since 14 October 2018, was our first snow storm.  Our soccer players have learned so many new skills and were so very excited to show off those skills; over the next three weeks the players will learn even more soccer skills which will prepare them for next soccer season. How much they’ve grown over the season. Thank you, again, to all family and friends who come out on a weekly basis to cheer on all the players. We appreciate your continual support.

Tigers – Coach Carlos

Great game today! All the players showed up and played amazing! Preston and Chloe scored goals for the Tigers with the assist from their teammates! Go Tigers!!

Dragons – Coach Rodger

Another hard-fought game. As a coach, it is amazing to see the growth on both sides. Eight goals were scored for the Dragons, six by Henry and two by Korbyn.

Green Cheetahs – Coach William

Great job by the whole team. Good passing, talking, and defense by the entire team. Great goal keeping by all players. No goals were scored but great work by the Green Cheetahs.

Wolves – Coach Wanda

Great game, Wolves! Awesome offense, Enso, Adrian, and Russell. Some great defense Maddie, Austin, and Zjalya. Four goals were scored by Adrian and Russell. Extraordinary goal keeping, by all.

Dominators – Coach William

Great work today, Dominators! Good passing and communications between the players. Zander showed good leadership on the field. Mackenzie, William, Zander, and Aitan all scored goals. Aliyyah was great on defense, while Josef was a great goal keeper.

Knights – Coach Eric

Gavin, Evan, Jurelle all scored goals. The team applied a lot of what they learned from the last few practices and played a much better team game. Both teams played a solid game.

Saturday, 6 October 2018, was a perfect day to play soccer! It was colder than the dickens, for an early fall day, but once again, that didn’t stop our soccer players! Our players wore leggings or sweat pants under their shorts, long sleeves, or hooded coats under their jerseys, and the major thing they wore, were their smiles! Thank you to all friends and families who come out on a weekly basis to cheer on the players. We appreciate all your support.

Tigers – Coach Carlos

The Tigers only had two players, Chloe and Aryana, show up for the game. Thankfully the Dragons let us borrow a player, every quarter. The Dragons assistance allowed for an amazing game! Thank you, Dragons!!! Go Tigers!!

Dragons – Coach Rodger

The Draggers (Dragons & Tigers) played a very entertaining match today. The coaches mixed the teams up and the result was close, Dragons 8 and Tigers 7; Korbyn (6 Dragons and 4 Tigers) Henry (2 Dragons & 2 Tigers). Great job kids!!

Wolves – Coach Wanda

Great game, Wolves! Some great defense by Adrian and Enzo. Superb goal keeping Jalissa and Braydon, while offense was a master piece played by Maddie and Austin! Four goals were scored for the Wolves, two by Austin and one goal each by Adrian and Maddie. Great game, Wolves!

Knights – Coach Eric

Both teams played a close game. Gavin and Jurelle played defense and offense very well together. Danielle had some great opportunities to score and dribbled well. Everyone put in a lot of effort and we improved from last game.

Saturday, 22 September 2018, felt like fall, but that didn’t stop these soccer players. When the younger players weren’t playing on the field, they wrapped themselves up in blankets. Thank you to all friends and families who come out on a weekly basis to cheer on the players. We appreciate all your support.

Tigers – Coach Carlos

 Skyler played aggressive this game and assisted Chloe with scoring two goals. The team hustled and played good defense towards the end of the last quarter.

Dragons – Coach Rodger

The Dragons played hot on a cool morning! Christian and Henry both had five goals each, while Korbyn made two goals. Great job, Dragons!

Wolves – Coach Wanda

Great game, Wolves! Thank you, Russell, for being a good sport and going to the other team. Five goals were scored by Adrian for the Wolves.

Dominators – Coach William

Dominators did an awesome job today with their great passing, communicating, and scoring. The team worked well, as a team, today. A big thank you goes out to Evan, from the other team, to help us out. Twenty-one goals were scored for the team today, nine by Zander, eight by Evan, and four by Aitan. Great job, Dominators!

Knights – Coach Eric

Both teams played well today, lots of goals on both sides! Eleven goals were scored today by Evan, Gavin, and Jurellea. It was both a close and fun game.

22 September 2018

Saturday, 22 September 2018, was a very good “pre-fall” day to play soccer. All the teams arrived early to the field for individual and team pictures, done by ‘Life Touch for Sports’, so the players had extra time for warm up and practice, prior to their games. Thank you ‘Life Touch for Sports’ coming down from Westminster to take pictures.  Thank you to all friends and families who come out on a weekly basis to cheer on the players. We appreciate your support.

Tigers – Coach Carlos

 Tigers’ “All Star” this week was Chloe, who scored a goal for her team. Kaden blocked goals and played great defense. Great job, Tigers!

Dragons – Coach Rodger

Another hard-fought game for the Dragons. Madeline and Eliza played great, again, and are coming closer and closer to scoring goals. Eleven goals were scored for the Dragons today, six by Korbyn and five goals by Henry; they both added to their total for the season. Great job, Dragons!!

Wolves – Coach Wanda

Wolves, you are fierce! Great offense, by Enzo and Adrian. Way to go, goal keepers, Zjalia, Russell, and Austin. Maddie showed great hustle while on defense. Ten goals were scored for the Wolves, five by Adrian, two by Russell, while Zjalia, Austin, and Maddie each scored a goal.

Green Cheetahs – Coach William

The Green Cheetahs had good passing, communication, and worked together as a team. Defense was great! Julius did a good job passing and as goal keeper. Two goals were scored for the Green Cheetahs, by Shane and Julius.

Great passing and communication, Dominators! The defense did a great job keeping the other team from scoring. Zander and Hunter were awesome as goal keepers. Three goals were scored for the Dominators by, Zander who scored two goals and Aitan scored one goal.

Saturday, 15 September 2018, the teams said their goodbyes to summer soccer and next week they will say hello to fall soccer. With only two games under these player’s belts or in this case, their jerseys, their soccer skills have improved tremendously.  We are so proud of their accomplishments. This week, our outstanding player of the week, was Kaden. While in the defense position, Kaden was able to stop the ball, from the Dragons, with his chest. What a save!

Dragons – Coach Rodger

The Dragons played another amazing game! Eliza, Christian, and Madeline played very well, both offensively and defensively. Once again, Korbyn and Henry scored the goals, with four goals and two goals, respectively. Great job, Dragons!

Wolves - Coach Wanda

Amazing Wolves! Great team work! Superb offense Maddie and Adrian! Russel and Zjalia were great goal keepers, while Enzo and Austin were defensive genesis’! Eight goals were scored for the Wolves, by Adrian who scored four, Maddie scored two goals, while Russell and Zjalia scored a goal apiece. Wolves, you were amazing!

The Dominators played a great game today! The communication, between the players, greatly improved over the first game. In addition to their communication, the passing, and goal keeping improved. Great team work, Dominators! Five goals were scored today, by Aitan. Good work, Dominators!

Knights – Coach Eric

Everyone worked well, today, as a team. The game was closer this time, than last week’s game. A lot of good work and plays happened. Gavin, Evan, Danielle, Josh, and Jurelle all scored goals. Great game, Knights.

8 September 2018

AYSO Region 1225 began its 21st year of youth soccer in the Fountain Valley. We are very proud of to play an active role in the world’s largest soccer club!

Saturday, 8 September 2018, was the first soccer game of the fall soccer season. We were super excited to see soccer players and coaches, both “new” and “old” come onto the fields to begin a great soccer season. The region looks forward to an exciting fall season. Thank you to all friends and families who came to cheer on the players!

Tigers – Coach Carlos

This first game was exciting for the Tigers; they were both anxious and nervous. Preston scored a goal for the team, which brought team’s spirits up! Great first game!!

Dragons – Coach Rodger

The Dragons did a great job playing as a team. Madeline and Christian battled it out and kept the ball from the other team. Korbyn and Henry did all the scoring, with five goals and four goals respectively. Great job, Dragons! This coach is proud of each one of you!

Wolves – Coach Wanda

Great game, Wolves! Z, Russell, and Maddie were all great as goalkeepers, while Austin had awesome defense, and Enso played great offense.

Green Cheetahs – Coach William

The Green Cheetahs played very well. I enjoyed all the passing and communication, on the field, between teammates. Shane did an awesome job as goalkeeper, while Julius scored four goals, for the team. Great game, Green Cheetahs!

Dominators – Coach William

The Dominators did a great job, with their passing and with their communication, while on the field. Mackenzie did an awesome job for never playing before; while both Aitan and Haydyn did a great job leading the team. No goals were scored, but that’s okay, it was the first game, and the team tried hard.

Knights – Coach Eric

The Knights did a great job playing together, as a team. Danielle, Jurelle, and Evan all scored goals. It was a good first game and a great learning experience for the entire team.

Saturday, 19 May 2018, was sadly our last game of our spring soccer season. We had a great soccer season; the players were very energetic and the families and friends who came to cheer the players/teams on were awesome!  Thank you for making our spring soccer season a very successful season! We look forward to welcoming you back to our upcoming fall soccer season and getting to meet and welcome new families to our region. Thank you to all our volunteers, families / friends, and especially our soccer players for making the 2018 spring soccer season for AYSO Region 1225 a very successful season!

Dino Cats – Coach Jenny

The Dino Cats had a great season this year! The Dino Cats started the game off strong by stealing the ball and taking it all the way down the field and making a goal for the team. Alex played strong, consistently stealing the ball from the other team. Wyatt showed a lot of energy, as well, when he took the ball from the green team. Belle prevented a goal from being scored by the green team, way to go Belle! Great season, Dino Cats!!

Rhinos – Coach William

12 May 2018: Great game, Rhinos! Shane exhibited great goal keeping skills during the game, while Corlan had an incredible way of being exactly where the ball was going to intercept it. Adrian had a great time, as defender, she was a great help keeping the ball from the goal. Michael made several attempts at scoring a goal before finally scoring; he had the pressure on the entire time. William Jr played with so much passion and tried to help all his teammates. William Jr scored the first goal of the game for the Rhinos, while Michael scored the second and final goal of the game. Way to go, Rhinos!!

Furious Warrior Panthers – Coach Tony

28 April 2018: My players utilized one another and worked great as a team. They worked extremely hard to achieve the results they were seeking. I am fueling everyone’s confidence and passion for soccer to believe in themselves and to use their strengths of great sportsmanship and hustle. Zion and Jameson worked together to help lead and guide the team.

5 May 2018: We showed outstanding defense! The team fought hard, they kept high spirits, speed, energy, and teamwork; practice plays in mind and shows a love for soccer. All the players gave their all and best efforts. I was so proud and happy for all my players! Well done! The heat didn’t stop us! Caylee came to the game with a fearless and aggressive passion to go after the ball. Great team assists with defense. The team will continue to work on goal keepers, defense, teamwork, and making soccer skills more developed.

12 May 2018: Jameson is a leader! He always gives his best efforts and plays hard for his team; he shows off all the work that is put into practice; he runs great defense / offense, he comes prepared and focused. Rielynn has an incredible drive and hustle to assist her team in outstanding teamwork, she shows persistence and speed. Great job! Liliana always comes ready to be a team player, she’s a role model with good behavior and a positive attitude, and never gives up. Zion pushes himself to his limits, he’s always willing to work hard non-stop, he assists his teammates, and shows great sportsmanship. In the coming week we will continue to work on team building, perseverance, character building, and soccer skills.

24 March 2018

 

Saturday, 24 March 2018, was a perfect day to play soccer, just a wee bit windy, but still a great day! Even with the strong winds, there was still many family and friends who weathered the wind to watch the games and to cheer on the soccer players. Games will not be played Saturday, 31 March 2018; games will resume Saturday, 7 April 2018, with individual and team pictures.

Dino Cats – Coach Jenny

Awesome job, Dino Cats! Wyatt charged the ball all around the field and gave Addilynn an amazing shot on goal. Alex and Ana played defense and stopped the ball, while Annabelle scored a goal with the help of her teammates. Addilynn made a great throw in which made it to Alex who managed to score a goal, as well. Ana had some great passes to Wyatt who ran the ball down the field and scored a goal. Way to go, Dino Cats!

Fluffy Unicorns – Coach Luke

Great teamwork! Leighana did an amazing job throwing in the ball to her teammate Aryana who scored a goal. Evelyn assisted Chloe down the field and scored a goal. Wyatt’s kick off at half time made it to    Aryana who ran the ball to the goal; Chloe and Leighana worked the ball around the other team and received a goal for Evelyn.
Way to go, Fluffy Unicorns!

Furious Warrior Panthers – Coach Tony

Rielynn did an awesome job leading the team and taking on the role as Captain; she ran great defense and showed her team how to go after the ball. Nephi, gave his all with his energetic passion towards scoring goals; he is fantastic and lots of fun. Liliana showed a true joy for soccer, she showed great hustle, played great offense, and showed great teamwork.
Zion worked hard and played great defense, he has an ambitious attitude. The Furious Warrior Panthers will continue to work on building character, soccer skills, friendship, and sportsmanship.

Rhinos – Coach William

The Rhinos did great; they worked great together with their passing and communication! Michael, Laela, and Corlan did an awesome job as goal keeper, while Shane and Carlos were awesome as defenders. Three combined goals were scored by William Jr, Adrienne, and Michael; while Carlos scored four goals. Keep up the great teamwork, Rhinos!!

Saturday, 17 March 2018, was the first soccer game of the spring soccer season. We were super excited in seeing so many new soccer players, the returning soccer players, the new coaches, the returning coaches, and referee(s)!      Welcome to our Region!!
The region looks forward to an exciting spring season.

Great job team! Amazing team work! There was some great ball passing between Ana and Wyatt. Addilynn scored a goal. Ana threw the ball to Annabelle who scored a goal. Wyatt kicked off the ball then passed the ball to Ana, who scored a goal. Awesome game Dino Cats!!

 Fluffy Unicorns – Coach Luke

Evelyn showed tremendous effort today, she was a bit shy at first, but quickly warmed up and played wonderfully. In fact, Evelyn went on to score a goal! Great job, Evelynn!          Keep up the good work, Fluffy Unicorns!

Great team work, Rhinos! The team worked well together in all areas, consisting of great passing,  communication, and great goals.
