FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Now that I have registered what happens next??

1.  What is the membership fee and is it refundable?
Although the membership is new when you checkout it is actually is something that you have always paid previously, it just was not separated out of your payment. 

Membership in AYSO is required for each Membership Year (8/1 - 7/31) before a member may participate in any AYSO program or event. This fee entitles the member to all benefits for that membership year including:

• Membership Player ID Card
• Annual subscription to the PLAYSOCCER Magazine
• Newsletters
• Soccer Accident Insurance
• Special offers and discounts
• Access to the AYSO Player website channel

Once issued or purchased, some of these items cannot be refunded/returned. This is consistent with other youth sports organizations.

2.  When does the season start?
The season starts the Saturday AFTER Labor Day for Under 6 through U-HS.  The Playground and Jamboree Program meets the Saturday BEFORE Labor Day Weekend. 

3.  Where do we play?
All Recreation Games are played on Saturdays at East Providence High School, 2000 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914 on the fields in back of the school. 

4.  Are uniforms included?
Uniforms are not included in registration price.  Under 4 Playground and Under 5 Jamboree players receive a t-shirt to wear during training.  Jerseys can be purchased at Gob Shop, 465 Main Street, Warren, RI, Phone: 401-245-4800

5.  Other Items your player will need:
Black shorts, shin guards, red socks to cover shin guards, cleats/sneakers, soccer ball
Soccer Balls have sizes based on age group/divisions.

6.  Where are practices?
Practices are generally once a week.  Coaches determine where and what time practices are.  Easiest way to guarantee a certain practice day and time?  Become a coach!!

7.  When will I hear from a coach?
Coaches usually receive their rosters around the second week of August.  An email blast is sent to all parents letting them know when coaches have gotten their rosters.
