Hello Everyone:
I hope that you are all looking forward to the fall season, and I know that I am.
As you are aware AYSO is an all-volunteer organization, and the kids can’t play without the time and
effort put in by coaches, referees, and parents stepping up to help. So a big Thank You to all of you
who have volunteered in the past and who have already volunteered to help during the upcoming fall
season.
Volunteers also include Region 46 Board members, and the purpose of this note is to ask you to
consider becoming a member. Board members typically have kids playing in the Region, but as the
kids age-out or decide to pursue other activities members resign and need to be replaced.
Currently the Region has several positions that are open, so again I would like to ask you to consider
volunteering to become a Board member. This is an excellent opportunity to become more involved
in how the Region is run and to ensure that the kids have a positive experience playing soccer.
A listing of available positions can be found
here.
Even if you are not sure of a position that you may want to fill please consider coming on as a
Member at Large which involves helping wherever needed. Then as you become more familiar with
how the Region is run and the requirements of the individual positions, you can focus on a position
with which you feel comfortable.
Those of you who are interested can contact me for more information, and I will be happy to speak
with you by phone or meet with you in person. Please consider helping the Region.
Thanks.
Roger Schnurr
