AYSO Alliance Club Soccer

We are pleased to announce the formation of a local AYSO Alliance Program. Our AYSO Area, which includes the Areas of McMinn and Meigs counties  and surrounding areas will be one of the first location in Mcminn to offer the AYSO Alliance Program. This new program will complement the other AYSO programs by giving players, families and volunteers who want to remain within AYSO the opportunity to play at a different level and in different leagues.

What is AYSO Alliance?
AYSO Alliance is a new part of the AYSO Player Development program, Alliance is a highly competitive, tryout-based program for players/teams who want to play in both internal and external gaming circuits as members of both AYSO and US Youth Soccer or US Club Soccer. Alliance teams will be competing against local clubs in a more competitive environment.

The AYSO Alliance program is special for the following reasons:

• Club bylaws require that “Everyone Plays”.• Teams are made up mostly of classmates and neighbors • Teams play home games and practice on local fields.• Teams depend on volunteers, creating a special team community that extends beyond the field.• A Director of Coaching will support certified, high quality, volunteer coaches. • Club and coaches recognize “whole person development” includes other equally important extracurricular activities.• Club expects players and families to give back to the larger AYSO program and community as volunteers.

Who are the Alliance coaches?
Our coaches are a spectacular group, representing the best of AYSO philosophies and committed to developing their players and teams, each region will work independently in forming Alliance teams as well as coaches.

When and where do the AYSO Alliance teams play?

The season for AYSO Alliance teams normally lasts about ten months from February to December. Teams generally play between 40 and 50 games across the season. The number of games played and the length of the season vary by the team. Teams in the AYSO Alliance Program will play in 6-10 tournaments each year.  Families and coaches collaborate to determine the tournaments in which each team participates.

How are players chosen for AYSO Alliance teams?
AYSO ALLIANCE teams consist of players who are selected through open tryouts and who want to play at a more competitive level within AYSO. AYSO ALLIANCE teams represent the National Program in their local ALLIANCE circuit as well as in inter-state tournaments.
Players on AYSO Alliance teams participate in tryouts for the respective age divisions. Tryouts will align with the timing of tryouts for other local clubs.
