Adult League Players,
With the new State and Ventura County guidelines allowing recreational adult sports to return to play, the AYSO Region 9 Adult League is happy to offer a short spring league beginning in April! The details about the league and registration are outlined below the “Restrictions” section.
In order for us to play there are some restrictions in the guidelines from the State, County, and Conejo Recreation and Park District that we must comply with. These are for your protection as well as other players and administrative staff. Please review the restrictions below so you can determine if you are willing to comply before registering.
Restrictions (applicable to recreational adult sports from CRPD)
COVID-19 Return to Competition Protocols – Youth & Adult Sports
In compliance with the State of California Department of Public Health and the Ventura County Guidance for Youth and Recreational Adult Sports, outdoor high contact sports (orange tier) and moderate-contact sports (red tier) can be played in the purple or red tier, with an adjusted case rate equal to or less than 14 per 100,000, effective February 26, 2021. The status of return-to-competition is subject to change at any time given the level of COVID-19 transmission in California.
To help ensure the safety of all participants, coaches and observers, all organized youth sports (including recreation, school, community-sponsored programs, privately organized clubs, and leagues) and adult recreational sports, must adhere to the following General Requirements for All Sports, listed in the Guidance for Youth and Recreational Adult Sports, when returning to inter-team competition.
General Requirements for All Sports
Face Coverings
• To be worn when not participating (e.g., on the sidelines) (wear a mask walking to the fields, when not playing and walking off the fields)
• To be worn by coaches, support staff, (at all times)
• To be worn by participants during practice, conditioning, and competition, even during heavy exertion as tolerated (strongly encourage)
Physical Distancing (Strongly Encouraged)
• Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between sport participants and others to the maximum extent possible
• Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between coaches and participants
Observers
• No spectators permitted for adult sports at this time (PLEASE note this! We could lose our permit for non-compliance)
Informed Consent
• Provide information regarding risk to all parents/guardians of minors participating in such sports, and have each parent sign an informed consent form indicating their understanding and acknowledgment of the risks indicated (strongly encouraged) (the waiver for adult sports is included in the registration process)
Hygiene and Equipment Sanitation
• Participants to perform hand hygiene (hand washing with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer) before play, during breaks, at half time, and after the conclusion of the activity
O Balls and other equipment can be touched by multiple players during practice and play if the above hand hygiene practices are followed
• No sharing of drink bottles and other personal items and equipment (the adult league will have hand sanitizer at the fields)
Spring Season
· Eight games
· Begins Sunday 4/11 thru Sunday 5/30.
· Games at 11:00 or 1:00
· Fee - $65.00 ($35.00 league registration, $30.00 AYSO National player fee – 2 line items at checkout)
Each team to pride a referee for the game before or after yours.
· Unfortunately, if the health orders change and we are forced to cancel this program, there will not be any refunds issued. However, if the games are cancelled and there is a chance to restart the program we will do so within the 6/week time period
Rainouts – same policy, no refunds, but will try to make up if we can.

2021 Spring Registration
- We have moved to a new registration platform. So the first time you register in this new platform you will have to complete a new application form. After that your basic information will be saved for future registrations. (as long as you use the same id and password)
- Anyone who registers will be placed onto the wait list. This is to defer your payment until we are 100% certain we will have a season.
- Once we have confirmed the Fall Season, you will then be notified and you can go back on line to pay which completes your registration.

AYSO Region 9 Coed Adult League
How to register for the Fall 2020 season:
Go to the Region 9 Adult League website at: www.ayso9.org. Then select "other programs" - Adult League
- Click on the Register Now button in the upper right corner of the home page to register as a player. This is where you will create your account. (Please remember to retain your ID and password. It will make future registrations quick and easy.)
- IMPORTANT for those with Sports Connect IDs for the AYSO youth league. DO NOT use the same ID and password – create new ones. This portal is for adult leagues and completely separate from the youth portals.
- Once you have created your account. Click on My Account and Select 2020 Fall Season. (click button that states "sign up for wait list") Then follow the prompts to complete your registration.
- You will see that there are several questions and fields that are mandatory. Those must be answered in order to complete your registration.
- This registration portal utilizes e-signatures after your application is completed.
As noted above you will then receive a notice that you have been placed on a “wait list”. You will not get to a screen to enter payment info. You will be notified at a later date to complete your payment if we are allowed to play. The registration fee for the Fall season will $90.00. ($60.00 league fee, $30.00 12/month membership fee which includes insurance and $2.75 transaction fee when paying on line)
