Volunteer Board Members play a critical role in creating quality programming, bringing more soccer to more kids in our community. With a diverse, complete board lending their time and talents, we can ensure an exceptional soccer experience for all players.
Please consider volunteering for one of the open board positions below. Every hour gifted by volunteers has a significant impact to each and every player.
Given the smaller size of our Region, the actual duties, responsibilities, and time commitment are often much less than is officially outlined in the links. A more succinct, accurate role description for our River Valley Soccer Club is outlined below each open position.

OPEN BOARD POSITIONS
Regional Commissioner (now recruiting for future opening) *required position for Region to operate
Manages day-to-day business. Maintains operational guidelines and oversight of other board positions.
Region Treasurer
Manage annual budget and maintain accurate account details for Region’s revenue and expenses in QuickBooks, using appropriate accounting/expense codes. Responsible for funds, receipts, and disbursements.
Region Coach Administrator
Responsible for oversight of coach recruitment and training. Manage training and provide support to all volunteer coaches.
Region Child & Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA)
Monitors all volunteer trainings and background checks to ensure compliance with SafeHaven, and is the main resource for the SafeHaven office.
Fields Coordinator
Responsible for field maintenance and safety, including, but not limited to: field lining, mowing, goal inspection and set-up.
Uniform Coordinator
Oversight for developing uniform ordering policy (with board input), and managing the ordering, purchasing, and distributing of team uniforms.
Advertising Coordinator
Responsible for the communication of program information to schools and the community. Develop and distribute registration flyers and help in the recruitment of volunteer coaches, board members and referees. Develop relationships with potential sponsors and donators.
Regional Registrar (open July 2024)
Responsible for the annual planning and implementation of player registration.
Division Coordinator
Develop team rosters, and practice, game, and field schedules. Help with coach recruitment and identify and collect data to create balanced teams.
