Purpose
The purpose of the Region 92 Youth Scholarship Program is to recognize our youth volunteers who have contributed to the AYSO vision to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives.
The scholarship program is open to any graduating high school student of any high school going on to college, university, advanced education program, or trade school. The applicant must have a history as a registered and active youth volunteer in the AYSO Region 92 soccer program.
The Region will typically award multiple scholarships from $500 to $5,000 each year (subject to Region Board approval).
Applications
Students must submit:
- An AYSO Region 92 Youth Volunteer Scholarship application and
- A written essay of 250 words or less titled “MY AYSO EXPERIENCE.”
Application Forms are available at the El Segundo High School (ESHS) office or may be downloaded from here.
ESHS students should follow scholarship application deadlines established by the ESHS administration. Applications may also be submitted directly to AYSO Region 92 by email to Roger Steele, Region 92 Scholarship Coordinator.
Applications must be received no later than March 31, 2024 for consideration.
NOTE: Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
Scholarship Award Selection
Selection of scholarship recipients attending El Segundo High School will be made by the AYSO Region 92 scholarship committee and will be announced at the annual El Segundo High School scholarship awards ceremony in late May or early June. Award winners must provide written verification of attendance to a college or university, advanced education program, or trade school.
