The Soccerfest event creates an atmosphere for Good Sportsmanship, Camaraderie and Stewardship for the sport and is a great kick-off event prior to the start of the Section Games competition. Soccerfest is a fundamental and integral part of the spirit and experience of the Section Games. Players and coaches from the Section Games Teams are randomly distributed into new teams for the Soccerfest games. As a result, players establish new friendships with players from across the Southeast.
Soccerfest registration will begin with Section games team members and as we near closer to the event local Knoxville AYSO players will be invited to sign up to fill in teams. While soccerfest participation for section games teams is not required, it is highly encouraged. Sportsmanship points will be added to teams that participate based on the % of their team that takes part. We also need our coaches for each age group to be there.
Soccerfest will take place on Thursday evening. Each team will play 2 half games to total out to one full game. These games are a fun get to know you window and will be accompanied by some other activities as part of the Soccerfest celebration! We look forward to seeing you all there!
