In order to referee there are 3 steps:
1. Sign up as a volunteer referee or youth referee
2. Take the required trainings
3. Sign up to referee any game you want.
To sign up as a volunteer referee or youth referee follow these steps:
Log into your account (adult or parent) at ayso126.org
Click Volunteer on the left sidebar
Click “Find Volunteer Roles” in the upper right, aqua blue button
Click “Select” on the “Volunteer Registration” line
Then click “View Available positions” (below and to the right)
Scroll Down till you see Youth Referee (or Referee if registering an adult referee) and click “Sign Up” (on the right, it will change to “Selected” when clicked)
Then scroll down and click “Continue” (on the bottom right)
Click on the “+” box to Sign up a Family Member (or select you if you are listed as an adult)
Continue entering in the requested information until you are signed up!
At this point if you have signed up a family member it will send them an email invitation to sign up for an account. It is important for them to go into their email and click the invitation link and create a password, because this will give them access to training.
The family member (or you if signing up yourself) can now log in to ayso126.org and access training by clicking on the volunteer tab and under the name there should be an "AYSOU" button which is the training website where you can access trainings.
The required trainings consist of:
1. The regional referee in person course
Our next course is Tuesday, and Wednesday September 14th and 15th, 2021 from 6:00 - 9:00 at the cottonwood heights rec center, in the rec room (up the stairs near the indoor pool entrance). Both nights are required, we can work with you if you need to miss some of one night.
2. The CDC concussion awareness training
3. The AYSO safe Haven training
Both of these are online trainings at AYSOU. After you are registered as a volunteer (wait at least a day to allow the overnight sync of passwords) you can log into aysou.org with the same username and password.
