Referees
The referee an essential part of the game. The referee is responsible not only for officiating the game, but also for the safety of the plays. This is why it is very important that the referee be trained at the level they are officiating. In order to be a referee, the following steps are required:
1. Completion of a volunteer application (required annually).
2. AYSO Safe Haven.
3. CDC Concussion Awareness Training.
4. Referee Training.
To register as a volunteer, contact your local region.
Once your volunteer application is completed, AYSO Safe Haven, CDC Concussion Awareness Training, and Referee training class listing and registration are available by clicking on the AYSOU tab.
