The season consists of 6-8 games (weather and division size permitting). Games are played on Saturdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Each team typically practices 1-2 times per week. Division 6u and 8U will practice in the district they registered in. All 14U participants will  practice in town.

You will find that some kids are kicking a soccer ball for the first time, while others have been kicking a soccer ball their whole life.  Teams are balanced with a mix of new and experienced players.

This will be our first season offering a 14U division. We may have to adjust the game format based on registration numbers. 14U Games will likely  be played 7v7 on a smaller field with NO heading, and NO slide tackling. Teams may be coed depending on registration numbers.

AYSO Region 985 Volunteer Registration Policy

The Board of Directors of AYSO Region 985 believes that the continued success of AYSO on Molokai is dependent on parent participation.  AYSO is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that is affiliated with the park districts in our community. We are dependent on parents who register their children to play soccer to also be willing to volunteer their time for the benefit of their children and their team.  The AYSO motto of “Everyone Plays” applies to children and parents equally—with the children playing soccer and parents playing a role as a Referee, Assistant Coach, Head Coach and other volunteer roles.  Without parent volunteers, there is no AYSO.  We appreciate you volunteering your time to support AYSO, but more importantly-- in creating positive life experiences for your children.  Let’s play!

The Fall Core Season runs from August through November (excluding major holidays and Fall Break). This program is geared toward those that want to experience soccer for the first time and for those that enjoy playing soccer in a competitive and fun environment. Fall Season divisions include 10U -  12U  -  14U, see birth years below.

Please purchase your child shin guards and cleats/shoes as they are required but not provided.

Information about Districts and wait lists
We will make every effort to place your child in the district you have signed up for.
Please don't register your child in any other district to secure a spot.
If the district you want has a wait list and you want your child to play, please join the wait list.
As soon as we have enough volunteers will will open the wait list in the district and division.
In the event that there are not enough players for a full team in the first choice district but there is space in another district,
we will reach out and ask if you would consider changing districts.
