American Youth Soccer Organization Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.

AYSO Region 526

Volunteer

Be an AYSO volunteer!

Why? Because we can't survive without you. AYSO Region 526 is an all-volunteer organization - the fees we charge pay strictly for uniforms, equipment, and other expenses. Organizing a soccer program for over 500 kids is an enormous undertaking made possible only through the dedicated efforts of people like you.

How much time is required?  We have jobs to suit all schedules and talents. Time commitment can be as little as a few hours on one day; some jobs can be done at home.

How do I sign up? All individuals who volunteer in any capacity must submit a volunteer application. Parents are asked to submit this application at annual registration in May.

To do so:

  1. Complete the volunteer application using this system. The application requires you to give three references, including a personal reference, a professional reference and a reference from any prior volunteer experience with youth.
  2. Complete and authorize a background check as indicated in the volunteer application.
  3. Print two copies of the application. You may wish to print a third copy for your records.
  4. Bring both copies of the application plus your driver's license or state photo ID to registration in person.

Remember: If you have completed the online application process to be an AYSO volunteer, you will not be officially registered until your application is signed by the CVPA Miguel Arroyo, who will check your proper form of personal identification.

Complete the online AYSO Safe Haven Certification (30 – 45 minutes).

Completion of AYSO Safe Haven Certification is a one-time requirement for all coaches and referees. Once you have taken the training, it is good for life. There may be opportunities for taking this training in person, but the easiest way to complete this requirement it to take the training online.

  • Visit  AYSOU.org, AYSO’s online certification and training site.
  • Choose the Safe Haven course (same for Coaches and Referees).
  • Print a copy of the certificate of completion after you have finished the course.
  • Please bring a copy of this certificate to any training session you might attend – especially for any first time referee or coach training sessions
