MCCONNELLSBURG YOUTH SOCCER REGION 998

Volunteer

To volunteer you can log in to your AYSO account and fill out the required information under the volunteer section.

McConnellsburg AYSO is a 100% volunteer run organization!  It takes many people to run a quality program. It is truly rewarding when you get to see children playing the beautiful game, knowing you helped make it possible!  There are many ways to help.  There is much to be done with the administration and organization of the league, so soccer experience is not required. Come join our team!

All volunteers must be registered with AYSO National.  Volunteer backgrounds and references are checked by national staff to ensure the safety of our children.  Your information will not be shared with any third party.  Key personal information (e.g., social security number, driver’s license number) will be encrypted.  You will need to fill in specific information, including details on personal references.

Due to Pennsylvania State Law, AYSO requires Child Abuse and Criminal History records. Volunteers must submit PA Child Abuse History Check (CWIS) to the Region.  An FBI Fingerprint Check is required for anyone who has not lived in PA for 10 consecutive years.

To ensure the safety of both children and volunteers, all volunteers are required to take a short training session called Safe Haven.  It focuses on safety and appropriate behavior with children as well as first aid and other on-field issues. Safe Haven also gives volunteers the highest degree of protection available under the law.  Training can be completed in under an hour using our online training system AYSOU.
