Registration Instructions

Returning Registration- If you registered your child to play AYSO 161 soccer within the past year, then you already have a Blue Sombrero master account.

Click on the Login button on the website home page.

Once logged in, click on each child to begin registering them for the program of your choice.  If you are having problems or forget what you did last year, then read through the Blue Sombrero Online Registration Instructions located by clicking: HERE

First Time Registration- If this is the first time you have registered for AYSO 161 soccer in the past year, there are several steps you will be performing. Start by clicking on the large "Register Now" button in the upper right corner of the www.ayso161.org website home page.

  • The first step is to create a master account.  There is one master account per family where all players and volunteers will be managed.
  • The second step is to create user accounts for spouses, partners or guardians. Each one will have access to the master account and use their login to manage their volunteer roles.
  • The third step is to add each child to the master account.
  • The next step is to register each child for a specific program. The programs you will see depend upon the year your child was born.
  • Lastly, you need to check out and pay for your child's program.

Registration Wait List
Once Open Registration ends, any future registrants are placed on our Wait List. The following explains how the wait list works.

  • Each team has a set number of players and at least one Head Coach.
  • We open registration to everyone during a set time period each season. As a result of Open Registration, we don't know how many of the players that register will include a parent/guardian who will be a team's Head Coach. Thus, we hold back one slot on each team in case we need to pull a player from the wait list because they include an adult willing to volunteer to be the team's Head Coach.
  • For each division we will open a set number of teams that we are confident we can get a Head Coach volunteer and enough players to register.
  • After Open Registration ends, and after the expected teams are full and have Head Coaches, we will attempt to locate a Head Coach and form additional teams from players on the wait list, if possible. The goal is to make sure we only form teams when we know we have a quality, qualified, and certified volunteer Head Coach for each team.
