Welcome to Cullman AYSO!!

Here is our guide to help you get started as a volunteer in our program. **As our new system is updated we will make changes this and try to keep everyone updated**

1. Register as a Volunteer
Volunteer Registration Guide

2. Legal Requirements
Go to www.aysou.org
  1. Enter your new login information from the new website. Once logged in, click on My Courses.
  2. EVERY volunteer MUST have AYSO Safe Haven and AYSO CDC Concussion. The Spanish version of Safe Haven is available, if you need Spanish Concussion training, just let us know.
  3. You will receive a certificate once you have completed the course. Print this out or save it on your computer and keep these for your records. If you say you took and it doesn't get saved in the system, the only proof is your certificate. Better safe than sorry.
3. Coach Certification (Required for Coaches):
  1. Once those 2 courses are completed, you must take the age appropriate coach training course.
  2. If you are coaching kids Under 6, take the U6 Coach Course. If you are coaching kids Under 8 you should take the U6 & U8 course. Coaching kids under 10, take all 3 courses.
  3. This will give you the most info as a coach. The minimum requirement is to be certified at the level you are coaching.
  4. For those coaching the U10 level, 8 & 9 year olds there will be a field course closer to the start of the season that goes with this as well.
  5. For the U12 & up age groups we will hold field courses and possibly some class or send out information for the class portions needed later.
  6. When you  get your teams, start recruiting parents to be Referees. Even youth volunteers age 11 and up can do this and they will get community service hours. If your employer pays for volunteer hours we can provide that info as well.
  7. This completes your requirements other than have fun and have a great year!!
4. Referee Training (Required to Referee, but suggested for Coaches):
  1. Go to www.aysou.org and take the Basic Referee course.
  2. We need all the referees we can get.
  3. Taking this course will not only help you learn the basics of the game, but will help you teach it to your kids. It is a good intro course and we suggest all coaches take it.
5. Development Training
  1. Find a course nearby for what you are interested in. Other regions host training in person for different things. Login to your eayso account and click on Sign up to take a class.
  2. Find what you are looking for that is nearby and register for the course. If you need help doing this, let us know we can help.
If you have any other questions, as always please feel free to ask us.
