AYSO Region 45 - Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills

We are Region 45 serving the Mountain View and Los Altos Kids!

The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO), founded in 1964, is a nationwide non-profit organization that develops and delivers quality youth soccer programs in a fun, family environment based on SIX PRINCIPLES – Everyone PlaysBalanced TeamsOpen RegistrationPositive CoachingGood Sportsmanship and Player Development. AYSO provides world-class youth soccer programs that enrich children’s lives. AYSO Region 45 provides soccer to over 1200 boys and girls in grades K-12 from Mountain View and Los Altos, but children from any area can register.

Our public website documents the registration process including fees, FAQ, AGE Divisions, and Buddy Form options. Registration opens in late May for all divisions and closes around August 1 each year.  It is best to register early to ensure your player gets on a team.  Contact [email protected] if you have any further registration questions.  Please see the Division Information for details about game formats for each division.

Even if you miss the August 1st cutoff, you can still register your player and they will go onto the waitlist.  It doesn't cost anything to be on the waitlist.  Many player do get assigned from the waitlist and when that happens, you will receive an email and a request to make the registration payment.  Please watch for this email and make the payment ASAP so that team formation may proceed smoothly.  Please email the Division Coordinator if you have further questions about the division or waitlist for that division.

Please also make sure that any email sent from our organization does not go to your spam folder.  Whitelist the domains and in your email system.   AYSO45 has general public information at  This Blue Sombrero site is our player and volunteer registration site as well as your login site once you register and open an account.  Please remember your account login information and use the same account each season.

We are an ALL VOLUNTEER organization and need as many parents as possible to contribute to making AYSO soccer a success in the community.  Please find a way to help.  We cannot survive without volunteers and you should not expect other parents to do all the volunteering for you.

o    We are always in need of coach and referee volunteers and this is a rewarding way to give back to the community and interact with an outstanding group of players.  If you are ready to do this, please add yourself as a volunteer when you register your player or afterwards in your login account.

o    Coaches have to be able to run practices once or twice during late afternoon weekdays.  We understand that not everyone can do that.  However, referees do their volunteer time at games on the weekend, so a referee does not have any weekday requirements.  For coaching, please email [email protected] if you more questions.  For referee, please email [email protected] if you have further questions.

o    If you're not willing or able to coach or referee, there are other roles you can do including team parent, snacks, photo day coordination for your team.  Please volunteer with your coach once you receive the email that your player is on a team sometime in mid to late August.

o    You can also help with league-wide activities such as field line painting, uniform coordination, and other board-level roles.  Please email [email protected] to offer your services and/or volunteer for specific league roles when you register your player.
