Spring 2021 Update

Dear Spring 2021 Parents,

First, thank you so much for everyone’s quick response and completion of the L.A. City COVID Waiver. Your quick response has allowed us to submit the waivers timely.

Second, another thank you to all of you who have signed your child up for our spring program. We exceeded our anticipated registration numbers and at closing last night we had 324 players registered, exceeding years past by 100 players. We had 68 players registered just in the last week.

With the increased numbers, the region and K-Sports need a little extra time to make some adjustments so we can accommodate all of the players within the L.A. County and State guidelines. Therefore, we will be pushing the start date for the Spring season to April 16th/17th instead of next week on the 9th/10th. Additionally, we will need to adjust the start times slightly so we can allow for players to be picked up. The new start dates & times will be as follows:
• 4-8 year olds – Fridays - April 16th through May 21st – start times – 6:00pm and 7:15pm
• 9-17 year olds – Saturdays – April 17th through May 22nd – start times – 10:00am, 11:15am, 12:30pm

Below is a link to the Region’s Guidelines for Re-opening and Participant Screening Form. The guidelines are for you to review. The screening form will need to be completed separately for each player and brought with you for each of the 6 sessions. The forms will be collected in each cohort and this will be how we keep track of who is with whom each week.

Once we make some adjustments on our end, we will send out information on which session your child will be in. We anticipate having the cohorts and session assignments ready to go by the middle of next week.

We are looking forward to a wonderful spring season and we can’t wait to see all of these players on the field.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you.

D
ear Parents,

We are finally here … REGISTRATION FOR THE 2021 SPRING SEASON IS OPEN!

Our spring soccer program is designated for 4-18 year olds and includes 6 weeks of instruction, skills & drills and a t-shirt.

Spring start dates - Friday, April 9, 2021 for 4-8 year olds / Saturday, April 10, 2021 for 9-18 year olds
Spring end dates - Friday, May 14, 2021 for 4-8 year olds / Saturday, May 15, 2021 for 9-18 year olds
(Make up dates will be May 21-22, 2021)

K-Sports will be running the 4-8 year old program and the Region 795 board and coaches will be running the 9-16/18 year old program.

The cost for the 6 weeks/sessions will be $60 per player plus the $20 AYSO National Player Fee (NPF) for a total of $80 (if you paid the $20 for the 2020 Fall Season and donated the fees instead of receiving a refund, you will not be charged the $20 NPF again). To register, please go www.ayso795.org

Sessions for the 4-8 year olds will be held at Mason Park on Friday evenings from either 6-7pm or 7-8pm.
Sessions for the 7-18 year olds will be held at Mason Park on Saturday mornings/afternoons from either 10-11am, 11-12pm or 12-1pm. Each player can only attend one session per week and each session cannot exceed one hour as per the current L.A. City guidelines (at this time, games are not allowed)

Once we get all players registered, we will group players together in cohorts with no more than 14 in each cohort. This will be the same cohort for the 6 weeks. We will email parents with your cohort and session time between April 1 - April 4, 2021. (Note: New state guidelines released on Friday, 2/19/21, may allow us to run games later in the spring program – if we are able to, we will incorporate mini or full games for the kids and we will let you know those details at that time).

Our Spring program will follow all CDC, State and Local COVID-19 laws and guidelines, including social distancing, masks for all coaches, staff, parents and players (only when not practicing), hand sanitizing stations, sanitizing of equipment between cohorts, temperature checks upon arrival and any other requirement set forth in the Youth Sports Guidelines.

We look forward to finally getting the kids on the field and practicing their soccer skills!
