Welcome to Davis AYSO! We provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives in Davis. Our six philosophies guide our decision making and promote a fun, family friendly environment. We are all volunteer run which creates an atmosphere, community, and buy-in like no other.
Those six philosophies are:
1) Everyone plays - 50% of every game
2) Balanced teams - Balanced teams create a stronger learning experience for teams as they play teams comprised of similar ability
3) Open Registration - If you want to play soccer, AYSO welcomes you and gives you the opportunity to register and play
4) Positive Coaching - A coach can be one of the most influential people in a player’s life, so AYSO requires they create a positive experience for every player in AYSO. Additionally, encouraging player’s effort leads to greater enjoyment, improved skills and stronger motivation in players.
5) Good Sportsmanship- We strive to create a positive environment based on mutual respect rather than a win-at-all-costs attitude, and our programs are designed to instill good sportsmanship in every facet of AYSO.
6) Player Development - All players should be able to develop their soccer skills and knowledge to the best of their abilities, both individually and as members of a team, to maximize their enjoyment of the game.
Together, Davis AYSO and AYSO United Davis provide a full spectrum of soccer playing opportunities ranging from recreational to competitive club
EPIC (formerly VIP) has Fall and Spring season that register in May and January of each year respectively. This is a program for youths and adults with disabilities that would not allow them to play in other seasons. See our VIP page for details.
Our Core program serves 1 in 4 DJUSD students on an annual basis. There are two season Fall and Spring that register in May and January of each year respectively. 99% of games are in Davis! Players can easily explore other activities that benefit child and whole-athlete development when less time is spent in the car traveling to games.
Alliance (previously called Select) is an extended core program giving players the chance to grow and develop as part of a team in a more competitive environment while still following the core AYSO philosophies. Some travel is expected.
And for those advanced players that are interested in playing year-round competitive club soccer in a fun, family friendly environment with AYSO philosophies at its core, you should learn more about AYSO United Davis. Tryouts are in May of each year. AYSO United Davis teams compete against other clubs in the area ranging in level for Bronze to Gold.AYSO Adult Soccer runs in conjunction with the Fall and Spring soccer. Everyone who registers on time will be placed on a team that will compete in friendly matches on Sunday evenings. No soccer experience is necessary and we invite any adult out to get some exercise and experience the beautiful game!
