General Information
AYSO Region 144 is proud of the special Winter season program we offer. Click HERE for complete guideline details for the Winter season.
Extra Players -- The Winter season is open to Extra players.
Cost -- The Winter Core program costs $110/player. If your child is registering for the first time this year, then there is a $17.50 AYSO annual fee in addition to the program cost. Each child receives a new uniform for this season.
Refunds -- No refunds for the Winter season.
Summary of the program -- There are no practices during the week. Each Saturday, the coach will conduct a short training session followed by the scheduled game. The key to the Winter season is for everyone to get a chance to play soccer for the fun of it. We don't keep score since there are no standings. There are no trophies or medals for coming in first. The goal is to offer kids a chance to keep playing soccer for fun.
Tryouts or Player Evaluations? -- No player evaluations or tryouts for the Winter Core program. There are tryouts for those players who played on a Fall 2018 Core team (in the 10U, 12U or 14U divisions) for the All Star program.
Registration Information
Registration is setup to allow a maximum number of players to register before you must place them on the wait list. Here is how each division is setup:
- Playground (Players born in 2015) & Schoolyard (Players born in 2014) - Enjoy your winter off! These programs will return for the Spring season.
- 6U (Players born in 2013) Co-ed - This division will combine boys and girls on a team. We are increasing the number of players per team from six (6) to eight (8) and the division is set for eight (8) teams.
Sixty-four (64) players can register before players start getting placed on the wait list.
- 8U (Players born in 2011 and 2012) - We will have separate boys and girls divisions. Each team will have six (6) players per team.
Boys 8U - Fourteen (14) teams means eighty-four (84) boys can register before the next one is placed on the wait list.
Girls 8U - Eight teams means sixty (60) girls can register before the next one is placed on the wait list.

Co-ed 10U (Players born in 2009 and 2010)
Co-ed 12U (Players born in 2007 and 2008)
Co-ed 14U (Players born in 2005 and 2006)
These divisions will combine boys and girls on a team. Each team will have eight (8) players.
10U will have twelve (12) teams of eight (8) players each for a total of ninety-six (96) players before the next one is placed on the wait list.
12U will have eight (8) teams of eight (8) players each for a total of sixty-four (64) players before the next one is placed on the wait list.
14U will have four (4) teams of eight (8) players each for a total of thirty-two (32) players before the next one is placed on the wait list.
Your child is on the wait list... what now?
We offer a chance for you to register your child if one of three things happens:
- If we need more head coaches and you volunteer to be the head coach of a team, then your child gets to complete their registration order and placed on a team.
- If another new team is added to the division because someone volunteered to be the head coach, then the players on the top of the wait list get to complete their registration order and get placed on a team. Or,
- A registered player drops and a new spot on a team becomes available.
Please don't ask us what the chances are your child will get placed on a team. It really depends upon the decisions parents of other players decide and we have no way of guessing what people will do, who will volunteer to coach a team, etc. The best way to be sure your child is placed on a team is to volunteer to coach their team.
