First Time - If this is the first time you have registered for AYSO soccer, then you should know that there are several steps you will be performing. Start by clicking on the large "Register Now" button in the upper right corner of the www.AYSO144.org website home page.
The best source is the Blue Sombrero Online Registration Instructions located by clicking: HERE. Here are the highlights:
- The first step is to create a master account. It is one master account per family where all players and volunteers will be managed.
- The second step is to create user accounts for spouses, partners or guardians. Each one will have access to the master account and use their login to manage their volunteer roles.
- The third step is to add each child to the master account.
- The next step is to register each child for a specific program. The programs you will see depend upon the year your child was born. In general:
- 2016 => Playground program
- 2015 => Schoolyard program
- 2014, 2013, or 2012 => Fall & Winter 2019 Core 6U & 8U Jamboree-style Program (new; see page under Programs HERE)
- 2010/11 => Fall 2019 Core program - 10U division & Fall 2018 Extra program for competitive players (tryouts)
- 2009/08 => Fall 2019 Core program - 12U division & Fall 2018 Extra program for competitive players (tryouts)
- 2007/06 => Fall 2019 Core program - 14U division & Fall 2018 Extra program for competitive players (tryouts)
- 2005/04 => Fall 2019 16U Coach Select program => players register for coach evaluations and are invited to the team
- 2003/02/01 => Fall 2018 19U Coach Select program => players register for coach evaluations and are invited to the team
- Lastly, you need to check out and pay for your child's program. If you are registering for the Fall Extra tryouts or Coach Select evaluations, then you won't be able to check out. You will be able to checkout for these tryout/evaluation programs AFTER you receive & accept an invitation (via email) to join the team.

Registration Wait List Explanation
You might encounter two different situations when you register your child: 1. Registration is open and you can complete their registration; or, 2. Your child is placed on a Wait List. This process is designed to ensure your child can be placed on a team before we accept your registration payment. In summary:
- Registration is open for the first team and then all players are placed on the Wait List once the first team's registration is full.
- The goal is to make sure we have a volunteer Head Coach for a team BEFORE we allow you to complete registration.
- You want to get your child on the Wait List as soon as you can. If a volunteer agrees to be the Head Coach of the next team, then we invite the first players to be placed on the wait list to register for the team.
- The best way to guarantee your child's place on a team is to volunteer to be their team's Head Coach.
- We have no way of predicting if or when your child will receive an invitation to register and placed on a team because it depends entirely on someone agreeing to volunteer to Head Coach a team and where your child is on the Wait List.
- You will receive an email invitation to register your child if or when they make it off the Wait List.
The goals of this process are to make sure we accept your child's registration and only form teams when we know we have a quality, qualified, and certified volunteer Head Coach for each team.
Want to guarantee your child plays by becoming a Head Coach? Contact Hong, the Regional Coach Administrator, at [email protected] with instructions on to volunteer and get trained to become an AYSO Head Coach.
Please contact Brian Foster, the Regional Commissioner, at [email protected] if this registration wait list process does not make sense.
