Answers to some of the most common questions...

How much is registration?
It depends on how many players you register and in which division they will play. Sibling discounts apply when you register more than one player from your family. Guaranteed game time. Every player will play at least three quarters of every game.
Reassurance that all our volunteers have successfully passed a background verification check.

What are new player assessments and when are they?

It is an AYSO core philosophy to create Balanced Teams. In order to do so, we compile assessment data on each participant in divisions 8U and older. Please do not attend any of the assessment sessions listed below unless we reach out and invite you. If your player has prior playing experience with Region 2 then they may not need to attend. If your player is new to Region 2 or, for any other reason, we are missing information on your player's experience level then we will likely ask you to attend one of the sessions below. But if we don't ask, stay home. These are assessments. They are not tryouts. What happens at the assessment does not, in any way whatsoever, affect whether your player is placed on a team.

What age ranges are accepted into your program?
All players from pre-school to high-school are welcomed to our Fall program

How long does the fall season run for?
The season usually starts the first week of September and ends shortly before Thanksgiving.

What divisions are available?
We group players by birth year into the following divisions
Schoolyard, 6U, 7U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 19U
Each division has girls teams and boys teams. There are no co-ed teams.

What is the EPIC program?
The Region 2 EPIC program is something that we are very proud of. The program is intended to provide a safe and fun environment for soccer players that face physical or mental challenges. EPIC is open to players of all ages. Our coaches are specially trained to ensure players and their families enjoy an enriching experience that will be remembered and cherished for years and years. As with all our other divisions in Region 2, we expect lots of support and cheering from the soccer fans on the sidelines!
To register your player please come to the Registration Day (details above). Additional information regarding EPIC can be found on the AYSO National Epic  site. We also have some local information, specific to Region 2 here. Please contact [email protected] with any other questions.

Who runs AYSO Region 2?
Volunteers run it. Everyone is a volunteer. From our team parents, coaches, referees, board members all the way up to the Region Commissioner and beyond. The region survives through the generous donation of time and energy given by our volunteers.

PLEASE consider volunteering.

We always, always, always need coaches and referees. We provide all the training necessary (at no cost) and no prior experience is required. There are few things more rewarding then being a role model to today's youth. Not to mention the quality bond you will share with your own player.

You will have the opportunity to register your interest in volunteering for one of our many available roles during the online registration process.
