Welcome to AYSO Region 399! We are an all volunteer organization providing a Fall-Spring soccer program for children from pre-K through middle school - the largest soccer program in Elmhurst! Participation is open to all and your child is guaranteed a spot on a team if you register by June 10th.

We will be using paid trainers to run practices for our U7 through U14 age groups. Teams will be assigned a practice time and coaches will work with their individual teams under the guidance of a trainer. This helps the kids develop their skills and helps our volunteer parents in running a practice.

Our goal is to help kids develop soccer skills while fostering a love of the game and we do so by following AYSO's Six Philosophies:

• Everyone Plays - all players will play at least half of every game they attend regardless of their skills or whether they are able to attend practice
• Balanced Teams - we try to balance the teams before the season starts but if games end up lopsided, coaches should work together to balance things out
• Positive Coaching - coaches offer encouragement and positive comments
• Good Sportsmanship - all teams should play fair and be good sports
• Open Registration - if you register before June 10th, you will be guaranteed a spot on a team
• Player Development - we want all players to develop throughout their time in AYSO

All games are played on Saturdays. The Fall 2024 portion of the season will run for 8 weeks between August and October and the Spring 2025 portion of the season will run for 8 weeks starting in mid-April. Your fee pays for all 16 weeks.

The Mission of the AYSO VIP (Very Important Player) Program is to provide a quality soccer experience for individuals whose disabilities make it difficult for them to successfully participate on mainstream soccer teams. This year, instead of each VIP being paired with a buddy, there will be one coach and a few additional volunteers on the field who help our VIPs to learn new skills, focus on the game and have fun. Accommodations are made to support all players on the field and can be a mixture of sensory supports, behavioral supports or adaptive equipment. VIP coaches and volunteers are flexible and positive.
