REGISTRATION INFO FOR SPRING 2019

Registration is NOW OPEN for Spring 2019

Age Calculation – A Player's Division for AYSO is determined by their Year of Birth.  Please see the Age Calculator for details.  Players participate in the same Division in the Spring that they we in during the previous Fall. 

Fees – Returning Players who participated in Fall 2018 will pay a Fee of $75, while New Players will pay a fee of $145 to play.  Even if you have played AYSO in the past, you are considered a New Player for this Membership Year if you did not play during the Fall 2018 season.

     Returning Players - $75
     New Players - $145

AYSO National Player Fee – of the above fees - $17.50 is charged in a separate transaction and is a non-refundable annual player fee that goes directly to AYSO National.  So New Players will be charged $127.50 by Region 18 and $17.50 by AYSO National.  Returning Players have already paid the National Player Fee for this Membership Year, so there is only the single charge by Region 18 for $75.

Refund Policy – Full refunds will be issued if requested by the end of Regular Registration, less $25 in non-refundable fees ($17.50 AYSO National Player Fee + $7.50 Processing Fee).  If a refund is requested during Late Registration but before the start of the Season, fifty percent (50%) of the total registration fee paid will be refunded.  No refunds will be issued after the start of the Season.  Please contact the registrar to request a refund ([email protected]).

Multi-player Discount – Player fee is $50 for the 3rd or more players per family but payment for all players must be paid in "one" (1) payment transaction for the system to process the discount. 

Team Formation – For the Fall Season, teams will be formed mid- to late-August.  For the Spring Season, teams will be formed mid-February.  Once teams have been formed, you will be contacted by your player's coach with additional information.

Parent Meeting – A Parents Meeting will be held in late August or early September before the Fall Season starts to provide additional information about our program and review our objectives and expectations for the upcoming season.

VOLUNTEERS

Parents, we really need your help to make this program successful.  AYSO is an ALL-VOLUNTEER Organization.  The only way we can provide a top quality soccer league at such low prices, accessible to everyone, is thanks to the incredible dedication of hundreds of volunteers.  We need your time to help manage and support the teams, games, fields, and logistics for each division.

And for the record, Volunteering is FUN!!

While all Volunteer positions are important, we are in particular need of COACHES and REFEREES.

ONLINE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Please read all instructions below to learn how to register your son or daughter.

Note: Some parents have been having issues with Safari, but they have been able to register with Chrome and Firefox.  We've spoken with Blue Sombrero Support and this is a known issue they are working on.  For the time being, they recommend Chrome or Firefox.

 

Register a Returning Player (or New Player if you already have an account)

1. Click on Login in the top right hand corner of the site and then enter your Username & Password.       

2. Click on the green Programs Available button next to the child you would like to register.     

3. You can Add a New Participant to your Account by clicking the small circle icon with 3 dots inside and then clicking Add Participant.     

4. Select the Program or Programs into which you would like to register and Click Continue at the bottom of the page.

5. Complete the registration by reviewing / updating / entering all of the appropriate fields, and clicking Continue at the bottom of each page, until you reach the final Confirm and Checkout step where you enter and submit payment details.

6. After you have completed registration you will receive an Order Confirmation from Region 18 and you will be able to see the Program.     

Register a New Player if you DO NOT have an Account

(Please note that we use the Blue Sombrero/Dicks TSHQ platform.  If you have already used this platform for another AYSO region or another sport elsewhere, you already have an account.  Please log in with that username & password.)

1. Click Register Now at the top right hand corner of the site.     

2. Fill out the Create New Account section on the Login screen. Then click on Create Account.
   
   

3. Fill out the Primary Parent/Guardian Information section. If you wish to add a Secondary Parent/Guardian’s email (to be cc’d on all Program related emails), click Add Additional Account Holder. If not, click Continue.
   
   

 

          4. Fill out the Add a New Participant section.  Make sure your son or daughter's birth date is set correctly or it might not fall within the correct division.  If you have an electronic copy of your child's Birth Certificate, please upload it where requested.  If you would like to add more than one child, please click +New Participant.  Once all of your children have been entered, click Continue.    

5. The system will automatically determine your child's division and show all Programs for which your child is eligible.  Select all Programs into which you would like to register. 

6.  Enter Program Information and then Click Continue.     

7. Click to Review and eSign the Registration Form      

8. Review the Form and Type Your Name where appropriate to eSign the Form.  Click Continue to Review.

9. Click Submit Signed Player Registration

10.  Select Any Volunteer Positions you might be willing to do.  AYSO is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization, including coaches, referees, board members, and many other roles.  We could not provide such an incredible league at such a competitive price without the hundreds of volunteers in our community who dedicate their precious time to make it happen.  We hope you'll consider volunteering as well.

11. The last screen is the Checkout screen. Review your Registration Summary, Donation Options, enter your Payment Information,and then Click Continue.

Review your order, Agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click Submit Order!

You just completed the online registration process!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I Request a Specific Coach or Teammates?

AYSO mandates Balanced Teams. It is better for player development and honestly a lot more fun for everyone.  For these reasons, for Divisions U8 and above, the teams are formed through a draft process. For the younger Divisions, U5 and U6, the Division Commissioners try to build teams that accommodate Friend Requests and Coach Requests. DCs will also consider each player’s school when forming teams, so that your player is likely to be placed on a team with schoolmates.

Volunteering yourself as a Coach will give you some consideration in any team formation.  AYSO and USA Soccer encourage small-sided teams with small team rosters, to increase each player's opportunities to be active, enjoy the sport, and develop their skills.  For these reasons we need a lot of volunteer coaches to meet the demand.  Please consider volunteering as a coach.  You do not need any prior knowledge or experience (we will train you) and it is incredibly rewarding.

What if there are any issues with my registration?

The Region 18 Registrar will contact you by e-mail to resolve any problems or issues.  You can always Login to your account at AYSO18.org to confirm your registration.

What’s next?

Teams will be formed in mid to late August. You will hear from your player’s coach by late August.
