Hello my name is Mercedes Oropeza. I’m currently a junior at Lompoc High School, I am also taking college classes at Allan Hancock College. I’ve played for the Lompoc Ayso for many years and have also been a referee. My futures goals consist of being a veterinarian and owning my own clinic. On my free time, I shadow/volunteer at a vet clinic. I wanted to run for Flower Festival Queen because ever since I was a little girl I always looked up to the queen candidates. My unclue was also apart of the organization for over 20 years and always wanted me to run, he sadly passed away 2 years ago, so I wanted to do this for him as well.
