American Youth Soccer Organization Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.

Ojai AYSO Region 147

Program Description

Playground is for children 3 years of age and is the only coed division in Region 39's fall program. It is a pre-soccer program designed to get kids moving; combining physical learning with fun and imagination!  This is a 1 with 1 program, which requires a parent or adult on the field with each child.  Parents and players will participate in activities that will help improve your child’s physical motor-skills.  Playground provides the perfect introduction to youth soccer. Developing core fundamental skills such as balance, running, jumping, kicking, throwing, and catching lays the foundation for success in a variety of sports and an active lifestyle.

Grasshopper Program

2022 OJAI AYSO - Grasshoppers Program

Grasshoppers is a playground-style skill building program. Not all 3-4 year olds can kick and dribble a ball yet, this program is to ensure they have the skills necessary to play soccer. Grasshoppers do not play weekly competitive games. We will play a soccer ‘game’ on weeks 4 (Oct 1, 2022) and week 9 (Nov 5, 2022).
