Youth Trainers

Davis AYSO welcomes Youth Volunteers to help with coaching. Being a Youth Trainer is an excellent way to increase your understanding of the game and how players develop as well as a great way to support Davis AYSO.

Youth Trainer Requirements:

Volunteers under the age of 18 cannot be a formal Coach or Assistant Coach of a team, but can be Youth Trainers to assist the adult coach and assistant coach. The following criteria must be met:
If under the age of 18, an adult of opposite gender must be in attendance at all practices and games.
If between the ages of 18 - 25, the above guideline is not required, but is advisable that the youth volunteer coach have periodic meetings with a mentor to discuss how practices and games are going.
Youth Trainers must be at least two years older than the age of the division to be coached.
Youth Trainers must complete an annual Volunteer Application Form. See details here.
