SPRING 2021 SOCCER!!

Hello Region 55 Families!

Our Spring Soccer Clinics are underway. The program will includes 8 weekly 1-hour sessions, as well as 2 Friday night finishing clinics and (at least) 3 Saturday competition sessions or games.

The weekly sessions include skills training  by our fully licensed Coerver Trainers and AYSO volunteers. Our staff create a positive learning environment that focuses on the varied repetition of key techniques to maximize skill development in order to prepare players for match environments. We will also include small-sided games as part of our weekly sessions. The Friday night clinics will focus on getting the players to put the ball in the net! And finally, for our Competition Saturdays we will divide the players into teams and have them play scrimmage style games.

Below is a chart with the days and times for each session (PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE COMBINED THE 6U & 8U SESSIONS SO THE TIME HAS CHANGED FOR OUR 6U PLAYERS)

At present, we are able to allow our players to start getting back to "real soccer" and game situations. For those players who are 10U or above and who want (and are able) to participate, we are forming teams for Saturday games. We do still ask that players and spectators stay away from the fields when experiencing any symptoms associated with Covid-19, or after contact with anyone diagnosed with or exhibiting symptoms associated with Covid-19; that players and spectators wear a mask to and from training sessions (players can, but will not be required to, wear a mask while participating in the session); that players bring their own equipment (ball, shin guards, water, etc.) and do not share equipment; that spectators be limited to the extent possible; and that spectators either wear a mask or maintain a distance of 6 feet from others who are not in their same household while spectating. To the extent possible, trainers will wear masks (but in some cases may need to lower or remove masks to provide instruction).

Registration for this program is closed. But be on the lookout for information regarding registration for the fall season which will be available in the coming weeks. Starting in the third week of the program, refunds will only be issued in the event that the program must be cancelled due to issues associated with Covid-19. In that event, refunds will be issued in an amount proportionate to the total number of sessions that must be cancelled.

We are very excited to get back on the fields and cannot wait to see your players starting in March. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Mark DiLauro ([email protected]), Paul Kirby ([email protected]), and/or Jason McEwen ([email protected]).

2021 Spring Skills

Hello Region 55 Families!

We hope that you and your families are all well and that you had a great winter break. On the heels of our very popular fall Coerver skills program, and since state and local rules do not allow us to have a normal soccer season just yet, AYSO Region 55 Huntington Beach is proud to offer the area’s fastest growing soccer experience – the Coerver Academy 8-week Skills Clinics.

NOTE: All players are first put on a waitlist. There is room for everyone, we just want to ensure everyone is aware this is NOT the traditional spring season before you pay.

Our practices and training sessions are all coached by our fully licensed Coerver Trainers. Our staff create a positive learning environment that focuses on the varied repetition of key techniques to maximize skill development in order to prepare players for match environments. All players will learn various moves, tricks, and turns to take their soccer confidence to the next level!

All players who participate in the program will receive a 1-hour training session each week for 8 weeks as well as 2, 1-hour coached Friday Night Finishing Clinics, and 3 Saturday Skills Competition sessions.

This amount will be fully refundable (minus $10 for the cost of the training shirt) for any reason within the first two weeks of the program. Starting in the third week of the program, refunds will only be issued in the event that the program must be cancelled due to issues associated with Covid-19. In that event, refunds will be issued in an amount proportionate to the total number of sessions that must be cancelled. When you register, you may initially be placed on a wait list. Once accepted to the program, you will receive an email prompting you to pay registration fees. Once registration fees are paid, your child will be added to the roster for the program.
