Volunteer Self-Scheduling

Volunteer Self-Scheduling

(updated 7/29/2021)

The self-scheduling procedures are as follows:
(***Note*** we have corrected some problems with the Volunteer Self Schedule web page on 7/29/2021.  If you tried to self-schedule but could not, please try again)

  1. Click here to go to the Volunteer Self Schedule web page.  There are several tabs at the bottom of the Google Sheet; select "2021 Fall Volunteer Self Schedule" to do the actual self-scheduling.
  2. Find a date and 2-hour time slot during the first 6 weeks (Sept 11 – Oct 16) that is convenient for your team’s volunteer.  For example, if your team has a game that starts at 9am on Sept 15th, you might want to choose a 6:30am – 8:30am shift on that date.
  3. Choose your team number (e.g. 07UG13) by clicking on the small upside-down triangle in the box which corresponds to your chosen date (e.g. Sept 18th) and time slot (e.g. 6:30am – 8:30am) and scrolling down the list of teams.  If you are unsure of your team number, click on the Coaches List 2021 (under Coaches) to see a list of teams and coaches.
  4. Find a date and 2-hour time slot during the second 5 weeks (Oct 23 – Nov 20) that is convenient for your team’s volunteer.  For example, if your team has a game that ends at 12:30pm on Nov 3rd, you might want to choose a 12:45pm – 2:45pm shift on that date.
  5. Choose your team number (e.g. 07UG13) by clicking on the small upside-down triangle in the box which corresponds to your chosen date (e.g. Nov 6th) and time slot (e.g. 12:45pm – 2:45pm) and scrolling down the list of teams.  If you are unsure of your team number, click on the Coaches List 2021 (under Coaches) to see a list of teams and coaches.

Be sure to remind your team’s adult volunteer about their responsibilities several days before your selected date.  Tell them to check in 5-10 minutes before their shift begins at the Volunteer window to the south (or left) of the snack bar.  This is the same window that field monitors check in at if your team is the home team for a game.

Any teams that do not self-schedule one or two volunteer shifts during weeks 1-6 and one volunteer shift during weeks 7-11 will be assigned two volunteer shifts during the season.  Those assigned shifts will be as-needed by the Region.  The assigned shift could be hours before or hours after your team’s game, or could even be during your team’s game.
