American Youth Soccer Organization Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.

Saugerties, New York - AYSO Region #595

Volunteers

Saugerties AYSO is a 100% volunteer run organization! It takes many people to run a quality program of this size. It is truly rewarding when you get to see hundreds of children playing this beautiful game and knowing that you helped make it possible!  There are many ways to help, including roles that do not require any soccer knowledge. There is also much to be done with the administration and organization of the league, so soccer experience is not required. Come join our team!

All volunteers must be registered with AYSO National.  Volunteer backgrounds and references are checked by national staff to ensure the safety of our children.  Your information will not be shared with any third party.  Key personal information (e.g., social security number, driver’s license number) will be encrypted.  You will need to fill in specific information, including details on personal references.  Once you are ready, visit submit your volunteer application from your Blue Sombrero account.

If you have previously registered as a volunteer, it takes just a few minutes to update your record.  Volunteer forms must be updated annually prior to the Fall season.  Returning volunteers do not have to print out any forms because we're set up for digital signatures.

Registering as a new volunteer just takes a few minutes.  Once you are done, print the form, sign it and mail it to:

To ensure the safety of both children and volunteers, all volunteers are required to take a short training session called Safe Haven.  It focuses on safety and appropriate behavior with children as well as first aid and other on-field issues. Safe Haven also gives volunteers the highest degree of protection available under the law.  Training can be completed in under an hour using our online training system.
