Region 56 Extra Teams Win State Cup!

🎉🏆 Congratulations to Region 56’s EXTRA Teams on Their Incredible Seasons! 🏆🎉

We’re so proud of all our teams for representing South Huntington Beach with grit, determination, and excellence on the field. A special shoutout to our two SCEDSL championship teams for their victories in the State Champions Cup yesterday:

🌟 U10 Girls, Coach Patrick Schwanke
An undefeated 16-0 season to claim 1st place out of 34 teams statewide! Your hard work and teamwork were unmatched all year!

🌟 U12 Girls, Coach Jason Melendez
Battling through tough competition to take 1st place out of 25 teams statewide! Your drive and focus made it happen!

👏 Other Notable Performances in State Champions Cup:
• U14 Girls, Coach Ray Egan: Fell just short in a thrilling 2-1 championship game against Mission Viejo.
• U13 Girls, Coach Mike Regis: A hard-fought semifinal match, falling 1-0 to Mission Viejo in the final minutes.
• U14 Boys, Coach Samir Barudi: A narrow 1-0 semifinal loss to South Pasadena in a fierce matchup.

We are incredibly proud of all our teams — and of every player, coach, and family for making this season so special. Your effort and sportsmanship continue to shine a bright light on Region 56!
