Welcome to the Spring Season!
Warm weather and soccer are on their way!
Thank you for supporting our soccer region. These kids get a great soccer program because of YOU!
On behalf of the regional board for AYSO Region 732, I’d like to welcome you back! And a fresh welcome to all you new player families out there!! We're so glad you could play!
Keep reading for important info about the coming soccer season and SUMMER SOCCER CAMP... Woohoo!
*We need more volunteers both on and off the field… even if you could simply help us maintain our Facebook page, it would be great. Also, you are always welcome to attend our monthly board meetings. Please email me if you’re interested.
Spring/Summer Calendar
Important dates
(pending weather and field conditions)
First practice - Wed Apr 10 at your home field
Scrimmage/practice - Sat Apr 13, 10:00 also at your home field
No soccer Memorial Day Weekend - Sat May 25

*Summer Soccer Camp!! - Aug 5 to Aug 9, starting at 5:00 pm at Woodstock's Comeau Fields (more to come later)
Practices are on Wednesdays at 5:00 for Shandaken and Woodstock, and 6:00 for Olive. Games (practice for 6U) are Saturdays starting at 10:00. Practices are usually ~ 1.5 hours long, games 1+ hour.
Check the website, ayso732.org, for game times once they are published. We have to wait to see how many kids are playing before we finalize teams, coaches and schedules. We hope to have them posted after the 1st weekend home scrimmage (after Apr 13).
Coaches, the superstars that make this whole region work!
We need more coaches!!
Coach Clinic for ALL - Sat Apr 6, 12:00-2:00 at the Onteora HS Gym, please come to help out.
Thank you, Coaches!! You are awesome for stepping up and helping our kids. Plus, ANYONE CAN BE A COACH. Please join us and we will get you trained and ready to help these amazing kids play.
Your (volunteer) coaches expect your players to attend ALL games and practices. If you cannot attend a game, you must inform your coach ASAP. We spend a lot of time making rosters and planning the games. When players don’t show with no notice, coaches have to take time away from the rest of the players to work out new lineups and plans for the game sometimes having to cancel them altogether.
… have you thanked your coach today?
Keeping Yourself Informed
Before emailing us, please check the website ayso732.org and your email. The banner at the top of the home page will always show weather cancellations, etc., and we will always send you an email with any major changes.
Ready Players
Required Equipment: The 5 S’s - Shirt, Shorts, Shoes, Shin Guards, Socks.
Click this link for more on how to get your players ready for play. https://goo.gl/htZCxS
Uniforms for new players are expected toward the end of April (including jersey, shorts, and soccer socks). We also have secondhand cleats the fields. Check with your coach for the shoe bin.
Dogs
Simply put, no dogs allowed. For the safety of our kids, dogs are not allowed at any games or practices. Thank you for helping keep the fields a clean and safe place for our children to enjoy soccer!
Silent Saturdays, Shhhh…
On game day, let them play without adults yellings from the sideline. That’s for coaches and spectators alike. Clapping and an occasional “Whoop!” is great. Then let it stop there, chill and enjoy the game. Read more from PLAYSOCCER Magazine. https://goo.gl/nJQRkr
Don't leave your kids at the field!
We do NOT offer drop-off service. YOU HAVE TO STAY AT PRACTICE AND GAMES WITH YOUR KIDS! Or, you can leave them under the supervision of another trusted consenting adult that's there. Practices end early sometimes.
AYSO and How It All Works
We are part of the American Youth Soccer Organization and follow their guidelines. Primary among those are the six philosophies of soccer play: Everyone Plays, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship, and Player Development. For more on these and how the whole organization works, click this link. https://ayso.org/about-us/about/
