12U Boys/Girls

The 12U program was developed to continue player development in a fun yet competitive environment.

12U is a combined division of 11U and 12U players.

Season start and end dates	We expect the first games to be on September 8, 2018. The season usually ends around mid-November
Division Age	Player's Birth Year 2007/2008
Time Commitment	Practices: There are two weekday practices for a max of 1 1/2 hours per practice. Coaches can either chose to have one or two practices a week due to the volunteer’s availability. Duration of Game: Four 15-minute periods. Halftime break of 5 - 10 minutes.
Standings	Standings are kept.
Player Equipment	Each player will be given a uniform which consists of a jersey, shorts and socks. The player must provide soccer cleats, shin guards and a size4 ball. note: every player must wear shin-guards or they cannot participate in any practices or games. Also, socks must be worn over the shin-guards.
Coach Certification Requirements	1. Completed AYSO Volunteer Form(must be updated annually) 2. Safe Haven (Online) 3. CDC Concussion (Online) 4. 12U Coach Certified Click here for Instructions Note: The above certifications are needed weather you are the Head Coach or Assistant Coach
All other Volunteers	1. Completed AYSO Volunteer Form (must be updated annually) 2. Safe Haven (Online)(one time online class, unless AYSO updates it and mandates that we take the new course Click here for Instructions Note: This includes Team Parent and any other volunteer activity you may volunteer for.
The Players:	· Numbers: Nine per team on the field; one of which is a goalkeeper. 12 maximum on a roster. · Substitutions: Between periods, at halftime and for injuries. · Playing Time: Minimum of three periods per game and no player should play four periods until everyone has played three. · Teams: Separate girls and boys teams should be promoted at all levels of play.

Heading Rule	No Heading the Soccer Ball at this Division
Safety	· No ear rings can be worn during practices and games. · No bracelets or wrist bands can be worn during practices and games (Except Medical Bracelets can be worn).
